  • PowerFind now has PowerFind Pro's features: user-defined character sets, up to 63 found expressions, parenthesized expressions that don't count as find expressions, and shortest matches.
  • When switching from PowerFind Pro to PowerFind, the PowerFind Pro strings are translated.
  • Changed "Any Word" option in PowerFind Pro to put "~" in instead of more complex search expressions.
  • Added wild cards for "Any Sentence", "Any Paragraph" and "Any HTML Tag". Added metacharacters ":S" ("Any Sentence") and ":H" ("Any HTML Tag").
  • "Search All Open Files" actually looks at all open files if "Whole File" is off (didn't previously).
  • Invisible style libraries are no longer searched by "Search All Open Files".
  • "Page Setup" and "Print" dim when the Find/Replace is in front.
  • Find/Replace has a new Appearance Manager design. None of the buttons change when you press the option key, and there is an "In Selection" checkbox and a Macroize button. "Find in Selection" works in Summary Search mode.
  • The various "Found" PowerFind menu items are now enabled when you edit the Find text, as well as the Replace text.
  • The Macroize button in the dialog and new Find/Replace menu items create macros from the Find dialog.
  • Defined 15 new PowerFind bubbles, created during conversion from PowerFind Pro.
  • Appearance Manager (System 8), lets you click in the menu bar, then (with mouse released) drag to see menus. This works in the Find dialog's menu bar, too.
  • In the summary search window, file names are not truncated. If a filename is too long, it is followed by a soft return, lining up other fields.
