Re: NW for iPad?
I don't know if I am the only one, but I would settle for something really simple. Just so long as I can read and edit the text in my Nisus files without screwing up the formatting when I open them on my Mac.

Re: How to Find All Non-ASCII Characters
Before hitting replace all, you might consider just hitting find, and then copy and then pasting the result into a new empty document. This would allow you to scan for any characters you are about to delete that you might want to keep. You could then add those characters after the curly quotes in th...

Re: NW for iPad?
I too would love to be able to give Nisus some money for an iPad version. Maybe they should run a Kickstarter campaign. However, if I can't get that, does anyone have suggestions for an iPad program that will read and write rtf without stripping out styles and other stuff Nisus puts in that it may n...

Release date?
Hey, wasn't the public beta of Pro supposed to come out in January? According to my clock, that means sometime in the next two hours. I, for one, will be here clicking refresh over and over.

Differentiation of Express and Pro
One thing I am a little confused about is what the target market is for Express vs Pro. The way I see it, if it is a feature that only confuses my wife, my mother and my boss, it probably belongs in Pro (and not Express). At the same time, if it is a feature my wife, my mother and my boss can't do w...

Re: outline
I bought Nisus Express with the promise that outlines were just around the corner. Now, not only are they not mentioned, but it looks like the upgrade requires buying an entirely new itiration. On the screen capture it looks like the left drawer has an outline view. That is perfect for me. I don't ...

Re: NisusWriter Pro
With the improved macros it looks like it really shouldn't be too hard to write a mail merge macro. Of course, we will see what we get when it ships.nspy wrote:Please please please tell us that MailMerge is also in.

I guess some basic drawing tools would be good for things like borders; however, I think getting text to wrap around pictures pasted in from OmniGraffle is a higher priority. In fact, there are a bunch of things I think are higher priority than any graphics, like being able to script Find and Replac...

I agree... except the part about it being Windows-y. I hate the fact that Apple has decided that all of their applications have to live in the top level of /Applications. Really really irritating.barsoomcore wrote:Agreed that I hate this. I hate this so very very very much.
It feels so... Windows-y. Ew.

Also, I thought one of the main features of NWE was seamless saving to Word Just a quick comment on this... just send people using Word rtf. Word sees rtf files and they look just like they do in NWE and then when they save the file Word automatically saves them as rtf. I have been doing this with ...
