Re: Upgrade to 3.0 costs money?!

Sadly, in one of those illogical business decisions favored by the software industry, I'm being asked to pay $30 to "upgrade" and receive necessary bug fixes. What's worse is that I was waiting for this fix through the Writer Pro period. We were promised it would arrive eventually. iWork ...

Small Caps

It's nice that Pro has small caps, but it appears that once you convert them to small caps there is no way to change them to anything else, down the line, if you change your mind.

Am I missing something?

Upgrade Price

I've noticed several comments on both sides, regarding the price of the upgrade. I'm leaning on the side that it's too expensive for the upgrade. Here's my reasoning: If I were buying Nisus for the first time, I would be paying $79 - total - for the Nisus Pro program. Since, however, long time Nisus...

A couple of questions

New program looks interesting. A couple of questions:

1. Does it do drop caps?
2. Does it allow you to specify how much space you want around the image when the text is wrapping it?

Thanks,

Lists

I'm so frustrated. How do I add a list from my paragraph styles to my lists menu?

Thank you.

Table problem since upgrading to 2.6

In trying to move text between cells, I keep getting this warning: A style named normal already exists in this document. Do you want to replace the existing style with the one you are pasting, or rename the pasted style? It's driving me nuts. This has only done this since upgrading to ...

Re: Drop Caps

Stu wrote:A work around is to insert a Gif or PNG graphic and let the text flow round the graphic
Thank you, Stu. I tried that, but couldn't figure out how to make the text flow around it. How do you do that?

Too bad about the drop caps. I do hope they add the option at some point. But I didn't know about the edit>convert thing either. That helps also.

Is there a way to do a drop cap in Nisus?

Okay. Here's the deal. I just talked to Nisus. It appears that the problem was only happening for text created within a table. The 2.5 Beta version doesn't have the same problem.

Thanks for your input, guys.

Hi Craig.

No. Dragging and dropping within the same document.

That's very odd -- drag and drop moves the selected text by default. You use the option key to make it copy the dragged text. As far as I know you can't change the default behaviour, no preferences settings or anything. What version of NWX and OS X is this? Might be worth trying a drag and drop wit...

Re: Moving text

Sure. You can move selected text by drag-and-dropping it or by cutting-and-pasting it (cmd-x, cmd-v or Edit->Cut, Edit->Paste). I understand I can cut and paste it, but that's much more of a hassle than dragging and dropping. I didn't word my question right. Is there no setting that I can change, o...

Moving text

Hi.

Is there a way I can move text without it simply copying what I'm moving? I'm getting tired of moving something, then constantly having to go back and delete what I just moved.

Thanks,
Caat
