I think it's something with your setup. I just saved a 148KB document, 25,000 words, nothing fancy, regular text, bold, italics, indents, and it took less than five seconds. I also saved a document that was a five column, fifty row table in less time. Both worked without a problem. This was on an iB...

I can't really say that I have. I am paging around in a sixty page document, though it has fairly simple formatting, but I am using an iBook G3 900MHz right now. I use the fn + pg up and pg dn to travel from page to page, no problem. If I am moving more than a few pages, I slide the scroll bar using...

It is annoying, but I can reset the columns pretty quickly, so I am coming in off the window ledge :) I also experimented with saving in different formats. WordPerfect and AbiWord perserve column widths, but I am having trouble with margins. Someone else might have better luck. Everything else looks...

Disable Status Bar
Is it possible? For practical purposes, the Dock interferes with it, and simply ignoring it wastes space. On a 12" screen every line counts, so. . .
By the way, great job on

Column Bug
I use a two column format extensively. The page format is: landscape 8.5x11 inch document .5 inch margins 4.8 inch columns This worked fine in NWX 1.0, but now whenever I open a document my columns are reset to 6.43 and 3.37 inches. Manually reseting the columns and saving the document does not help.

Well, August 31st would be a bad day if you want any publicity at all, same for the whole first week of September, maybe the second. Trying to compete with the new iMac is just a no-win situation. If you aren't going to release it this week, or the beginning of the next week, then I would wait until...

I think that is it, selecting text, but I can't seem to duplicate it. It just. . .happens, not very often, but often enough to be frustrating, though not often enough to switch back to Word. I tried the trial of Word 2004, and it was a trial, all right :D Hopefully, NWX2 will solve the problem. That...

Is this a common problem: freezing?
I tried to send feedback but it didn't work, so I thought I would see if this is a problem for anyone else. 1. Working on a document. 2. Spinning beachball. 3. Massive paging. 4. Must force quit to exit NWX. I checked my console log and found nothing. The only thing I think, and I want to stress I a...

Palette Bug
I inadvertently dropped a palette so that the top was placed under my Menu Bar, so now I can't close the palette. I decided to try to duplicate this bug and was successful. Is there some way, short of deleting preferences, to close palettes in which you cannot see the top?
