Same here. I also started having repeated crashes out of the blue, but the beta version solved the problem.

Re: Diacritics bizzare behaviour
Many thanks to Adrian and Martin for their replies. I am running a polishing macro (similar to the one kindly suggested by Martin) each time a open a file. It works, although it becomes a somewhat cumbersome procedure in the long run.
Best,
Marco

Re: Diacritics bizarre behaviour
This appears to be an issue that's new to macOS Big Sur, at least for some users of Nisus Writer Pro. It does not always occur. We're not sure what exactly triggers the bug on some systems but not others. The fonts installed on your system may be a factor, but that's not conclusive. We're looking i...

Diacritics bizzare behaviour
If I type U+006D U+0325 (latin letter m with combining ring below), U+006E U+0325 (latin letter n with combining ring below), U+006D U+0310 (latin letter m with combining candrabindu), save the file, close and reopen it, what I get is one or more base character without diacritic followed by the base...

Re: text and translation on facing pages
Many thanks to you all for your suggestions. Even without a DTP, the work can be done as follows: 1. Work on a single NWP file, taking advantage of all the features offered by Nisus: just take care of “marking” the different parts of the work (text, translation, notes, and critical apparatus) applyi...

Re: text and translation on facing pages
Thank so much, Geoff and Henry! I’ll first try the “long track” suggested by Geoff: so much work already done with NisusPro (formatting, comments, cross-references, etc.) I’d hate to lose! If this becames too tortuous, I’ll resort to a DTP. I’m a bit scared about this, however. Not so much because o...

text and translation on facing pages
I’m translating a poem made up of about 650 stanzas. The publisher asked me to set up the work so to have original text and translation on facing pages, i.e. the text on left (even) pages and the translation on right (odd) pages. Is there a way to have the two parts running indipendently one from th...

nwp 1.0.3 manual
Deal All, suddenly yesterday my NWP 1.0.3 Help.pdf file has gone lost. When I try to open it from the Help menu, all I get is a "Help for Nisus Writer Pro is not available" message. Does anybody know where I can download the Help file again, and in which folder I shall put it? Thank you! M...

new line only after return and space chrs
I wrote a 6-million characters concordance using MW 6.5; the (justified) text consists mostly of bibliographical references made up of an abbreviation followed by numbers, with full stops diving them, e.g: AA.12.23.4 I want to shift the file to NWP, but I've found that when a reference occurs by the...
