I've often wondered why noone comes up with a shareware app for Windows and Mac that will enable annotations and comments to be made on a .pdf file. Needn't be anything elaborate just to allow annotations and possibly combining pdfs. cheers, Tacitus Preview in Tiger has a simple annotation feature ...

Re: 3.0 Feature Request List
Comment/notation features of some kind. There's room here, too, to get a leg up. I'm very much in favour of a comment/notation feature and think that Jers Novel Writer has the nicest I've seen (it allows putting comments in the margin). (Download it from his blog , and browse to an entry a bit down...

Re: switching / cycling through open windows
Most Mac programs let you switch windows using command-tilda, including old versions of Nisus. mike the economist I didn't know that shortcut. Yet I agree that it is very useful to toggle between windows within an app. I've set it up in system preferences (keyboard and mouse). I use command f10 (to...

Re: Linkback question
Dear ceffe: LinkBack actually embeds a COPY of your graphic in the Nisus Writer Express document. So it is no longer linked with the original OmniGraffle document. I know that sometimes it is better to link to a file than keep a copy and we are looking at some ways to do this in the future. Cheers,...

Linkback question
Hi, This is not so much feedback as a question. I've just played briefly with the beta and with the beta for omnigraffle 4. I think linkback is great, but have two questions that I wonder if any of the betatesters (or Nisus people) can answer. 1) If I copy a some graphics from an omnigraffle documen...

Garbled style names when opening word documents
Hi, 2.1 seems to bring many good improvements. (Good work!) I've always had problems that when opening word documents with Nisus the names of styles sometimes have been garbled. My impression is that this actually might occur more often with 2.1. (A style might appear under the name "ä??æ¼?æ??ç...

2.0.1 already improved speed
Hi again, I can see now that footnotes had a lot to do with the seriously reduced speed. I had a word document with some 30 pages and 41 footnotes that NWE 2.0 totally choked on (spinning ball, for eeever). For whatever reason, the new 2.0.1 opened the same document nicely and scrolling works just f...

Re: NWE 2 long document performance
For both aspects, our major performance hurdle is in fact Cocoa, though we have gotten pretty good at working around that now so things should get better in the coming releases. That is good to hear. I was just starting to really fall in love with NWE 2, when I realised that it was too slow for scr...
