Hide Table Cell Text Overflow--Feature request?
Hi, AFAIK Nisus tables don't have a 'hide cell text overflow' feature. At least, I can't find it in the online manual, or in this forum. I'm finding I want it, because I'm making large tables with research/writing data and they get unwieldy when even a few cells require lots of text. They're hard to...

Re: Keyboard shortcuts not visible on Macro Menu
One question: what happens if you assign a brand new shortcut to a macro menu command? Does that appear after you assign it? Hi Martin. Good question, and following it gives three new pieces of evidence. I found: 1. I set something I never use (Reverse Text): It showed up immediately in Macro Menu....

Re: Keyboard shortcuts not visible on Macro Menu
Thank you adryan and phspaelti. So by your responses, it's getting weirder. :) FWIW, running a macro didn't help for me. Restarting NWP hasn't helped, nor has resetting a command in the Preferences. So maybe, as you say, it might be deeper in the operating system. I now vaguely remember noting this ...

Keyboard shortcuts not visible on Macro Menu
Hi, Subject line says it. In my NWP 3.2.1, I've assigned key combinations to various macros, but none of them show on the Macro Menu dropdown. In contrast, all the other menus show the key combinations assigned to that menu entry. Can somebody confirm whether this happens to other people? To be clea...

Limit background color to font height?
Hi, I have a need to have certain words have a background shading. But AFAIK, 'Background color' in NWP extends to the full height of the line spacing, like this: Screen Shot 2022-03-09 at 11.21.42 AM.png I want that shading only to be as tall as the tallest letter, ie, as high as the "l" ...

Re: Global setting for Draft view margin?
G'day, wF et al I have a slightly different, but possibly related, problem with Draft View. If you run the cursor from right to left over the longer line of text in the attached document (without clicking anywhere), the cursor changes from an insertion point to an arrow as it approaches the leftmos...

Re: Global setting for Draft view margin?
Hi Martin, Thanks for the quick response. I'll add a vote for your request. Thanks for the feedback. Good, thank you. In the meantime here's a possibly unappealing kludge: ... The numbering options apply on a per-section basis. Interesting, but I don't think I can use this for two reasons. The first...

Global setting for Draft view margin?
Hi, I find the Draft View margin too tight, especially on the left side. It's scarcely the width of an m dash. I know I could pull the left margin indicator in the ruler, but that's inconvenient and kludgy when I'm working with many separate files. I've tried the manual and various settings, but don...

Re: Request: Find all by Formatting Examiner within selection
Hi Mark, Can I ask **where** you set Cmd-G as a shortcut? Apple/Preferences or Nisus/Preferences. The latter should have warned you that that was already assigned to Find Next. I used Nisus/Preferences. I wondered that myself later. I don't know how I missed it. Either I just didn't see the text at ...

Re: Request: Find all by Formatting [Examiner] within selection
In the case of this color changing operation, you would choose the "Replace All" action and Save As Macro to the Changing Text group of Macros (or wherever else you thought fit). Name it something helpful like "Blue to Green in Selection". Thanks for this. It was much easier tha...

Re: Request: Find all by Formatting Examiner within selection
Greetings both, Thank you both. I've worked through both of them and I'm amazed. :) Either way does exactly what I want. And I applied Adrian's Replace in PowerFind Pro to Philip's PowerFind, by using the "Found" function and applying the new colour to it. Great to know all this. I looked ...

Request: Find all by Formatting Examiner within selection
Greetings, I have a regular need to find all the text of a given colour within a selection. I believe Nisus can't do this. At least, I haven't found a way in either the Find dialog or the Formatting Examiner. If not, it occurs to me it would be nice if Nisus could add a function in the Formatting Ex...

No Floats With Paragraph images in Draft View?
Hi,
I find in Draft view I'm not seeing images if they're "Floats With Paragraph".
Is this correct? Do only "inline" images and shapes show up in Draft?
I looked in the manual, but didn't find specific references to this.

Re: Powerfind for Near?
G'day, wF et al It looks like it was bundled with NWP. Find Nearby Words.nwm Thanks! As you said, it's preset to work within a single paragraph as the neighbourhood. And also it doesn't distinguish lower and upper case, which is somewhat surprising. Anyway, not what I'm needing here (compared to th...
