I believe that's the problem.

Code: Select all

Find and Replace '[\n\r]+', ' ', 'Esa'
Replaces all double-spaces with a space. I would like it not to do that.

Form Paragraph Macro

Earlier versions of Nisus Writer used to ship with a "Form Paragraph" macro that preserved double-spaces in the selected text. Does anyone still have that routine/macro you could post for me? I'm having a tough time converting the perl macro so that it doesn't turn all the selected text into one mas...

Find will not find HTML Characters

When you copy a list from a Web page, how does NWP convert the content? For example, the underlying HTML is: <ul> <li>Item 1</li> <li>Item 2</li> </ul> When you paste this into a Nisus document, you get ?[gray rect]Item 1 ?[gray rect]Item 2 You cannot perform a Find and Replace of these leading garb...

Disappearing blocks of text

Frequently, when I delete a paragraph in a document, all the paragraphs above it will disappear. I cannot get them to redraw by changing magnification, resizing the document or by scrolling. The paragraphs are just gone. The only option is to Revert to the last saved version. This occurs on two diff...

Automatic Document Naming

Here is a feature request along the same lines. I might be dreaming, but I seem to recall that Nisus Classic was able to name a new document automatically upon Save. It would suggest the first line of a document as its title. This would make a major contribution to my workflow. Please put it somewhe...

I'm trying to change it to

Ctrl-CMD-T

It "takes" in the Preference box, but not in the actual menu.

Special Menu Keys

I would like to change the menu keys used to select View->Show Tooldrawer. However, in the Preferences panel a yellow caution icon reads, "Currently bound to 'Tooldrawer'" and displays "Shift-CMD-D". I cannot change it. Two things indicate to me that it should be changeable: (1) The programmers' use...

Files, too

... and if you paste in

Code: Select all

file://localhost/Users/rh/Documents/myfile.xyz
you will create a link to any file. Click on this word in your document, and it will open the file in Nisus Writer, or launch the appropriate application to open whatever document it is.

I actually own BBEdit, but I think a simple \n-to-\r macro will make my life easier, by allowing me to stay in Nisus Writer.

My thanks to both of you.

Carriage Return vs. Newline vs. Linefeed

NWX 2.x.x is making it impossible for me to create <b>tab-delimited text files</b> that will import into some applications (such as Now-Up-to-Date). A file saved as TEXT/ASCII by Nisus Writer places a <b>Linefeed (hex 0A)</b> at the end of every line, instead of a <b>Carriage Return (hex 0D)</b>. Se...

One more thing: You can launch an application from a link in a Nisus Writer document.

To launch TextEdit:
file://localhost/Applications/TextEdit.app

To open your Scripts folder:

file://~/Library/Scripts/

or

file://localhost/Users/yourusername/Library/Scripts/

Neat Use for Hyperlink Feature

One of my favorite features in NWX is the ease with which I can make any word or phrase a hyperlink. But the link doesn't have to be an http:// link to a web location. It can be anything. You can use it to open folders by clicking on a word. For example, paste into the hyperlink box: file://localhos...

I posted this in the "official Express 2.6 beta thread", yet it showed up outside that thread. Evidentally, I'm unable to post inside the official thread.
