Leopard Icons
Leopard displays all my Nisus Writer Pro icons as generic RTF documents, even though Get Info… confirms that they are to be opened using Nisus Writer. The problem is that Leopard, unlike Tiger, fails to display the little padlock indicating that a file is locked in the Finder. There's no way to tell...

Pasted Web Content Background Color
How do I get rid of the background color in a block of text pasted from a website? I'm not talking about the highlight color often attached to an HTML paragraph. That's easily fixed by selecting None from the Nisus highlight menu. I'm not talking about tables, either. I'm talking about entire blocks...

Wrong
I was wrong. The status of the Tooldrawer is not sticky for long. Eventually, it always reverts to the sections palette group, no matter what you do. I haven't narrowed it down to when and where, but it always does.
I guess this is now a feature request.

Tooldrawer Defaults
There is a way to force the Tooldrawer always to open with the formatting palette group selected -- but not for the Header. When you CREATE Nisus New File.dot, it remembers (1) whether the Tooldrawer was open, and (2) which palatte was selected in the Tooldrawer. When you MODIFY Nisus New File.dot b...

I changed that line to
So that it replaces only single occurences of a return. I think the default macro shipped with a typo.
Code: Select all
Find and Replace '[\n\r]{1}', ' ', 'Esa'

I believe that's the problem.
Replaces all double-spaces with a space. I would like it not to do that.
Code: Select all
Find and Replace '[\n\r]+', ' ', 'Esa'

Form Paragraph Macro
Earlier versions of Nisus Writer used to ship with a "Form Paragraph" macro that preserved double-spaces in the selected text. Does anyone still have that routine/macro you could post for me? I'm having a tough time converting the perl macro so that it doesn't turn all the selected text in...

Find will not find HTML Characters
When you copy a list from a Web page, how does NWP convert the content? For example, the underlying HTML is: <ul> <li>Item 1</li> <li>Item 2</li> </ul> When you paste this into a Nisus document, you get ?[gray rect]Item 1 ?[gray rect]Item 2 You cannot perform a Find and Replace of these leading garb...

Disappearing blocks of text
Frequently, when I delete a paragraph in a document, all the paragraphs above it will disappear. I cannot get them to redraw by changing magnification, resizing the document or by scrolling. The paragraphs are just gone. The only option is to Revert to the last saved version. This occurs on two diff...

Automatic Document Naming
Here is a feature request along the same lines. I might be dreaming, but I seem to recall that Nisus Classic was able to name a new document automatically upon Save. It would suggest the first line of a document as its title. This would make a major contribution to my workflow. Please put it somewhe...

Special Menu Keys
I would like to change the menu keys used to select View->Show Tooldrawer. However, in the Preferences panel a yellow caution icon reads, "Currently bound to 'Tooldrawer'" and displays "Shift-CMD-D". I cannot change it. Two things indicate to me that it should be changeable: (1) ...
