Check spelling as you type bug?

Hi I'm generally happy to let my appalling spelling be flagged up as I type. However, some documents I work on contain a lot of company names, which appear almost completelt underlined in red. I turned off the check spelling as you type feature, but the red underlines remain visible - even through p...

Really? Was I the only one who asked about it with NWE1?

Odd. I would have thought it fairly high on a wish list. I'm not too keen on footnotes and stuff 8)

Re: No new line without new paragraph?

That's a good question, and one I'd like answered. I was hoping it would make it into NWE2...

It appears if you are running Panther. I don't think it appears in pre-10.3 versions of the OS.

Actually folks, since I posted I've experimented further and actually read the Help files! What I needed to do was create an alternative 'standard' document and select it as my base one in the Prefs. Having now edited the styles to work the way I want (from the Style Sheet pop-up at the top left), I...

Thanks for that. It was so quick, I didn't know whether it had worked or not.

(Breathes a sigh of relief.)

And here's the other thread! Styles.

Testing NWE2 yesterday I wanted to set my own preferences for the new document styles. I opened the prefs with no document open and proceeded to edit. I found that styles just didn't stick. I'd change the font for Normal, switch to Header to edit, switch back to Normal and find it's the same as Head...

Does Feeback work in NWE 2?

Hi Downloaded NWE2 yesterday. Nice. I'm looking forward to some serious text editing now. Love the auto correction - that's about the only feature I missed from Word. I do have a beef with styles, but I'll save that for another thread. One question, though. I had a couple of odd moments yesterday th...

Re: Foreground (text) and Background (Page/Draft View) Color

The professional writer who knocks out thousands of words daily, likes to get the minimum of eye strain. Have you considered letting the OS take the [eye] strain? If you investigate the System Preferences, and take a peek at the Universal pane, you will see all kinds of options intended for people ...

Treble-click selects more than one line!

Hi! Has anyone else noticed that if you treble-click a line of text, such as a short line in a list, the line above is selected as well? I've tried treble-clicking with the I-beam in all sorts of positions on the line, but it always seems to select the line I want and the one above it. :? Cheers Hea...
