Endnotes To Footnotes Bugs - multiples instances; columns
Hi, In brief: Ludicrously major problems converting 70 endnotes to footnotes in a 120-page document. I get the following three or four bugs: 1. Clustered Footnotes (not 'on one line' in FN style) appear doubled, tripled, or quadrupled, and have other changes (italics get reversed, and automatic numb...

Footnote tab separator in multiple per line - changeable?
Hi, The multiple notes per line option for Footnote style seems to force the use of a tab between footnotes. I can't change or delete it. I'm doing a setup where I'd prefer using a standard spacing (i.e., like 4 spaces). The tab forces jumps of uneven amounts of space. This can be adjusted per line ...

Any way to get keyboard control of cross-ref highlighting?
Hi, What I'd like is the ability to quickly turn the cross-reference highlighting on and off with a command key, so I can check quickly if I've remembered to add a particular cross-reference. (I have a lot of cross-references, so I leave the highlighting off because it's distracting when I'm editing...

Re: Save to PDF bug - images move
...you could save it as a ps file and then open that with Preview. If it doesn't print correctly either, then obviously this won't work. I've now had a chance to work this through with a jumping image, and it looked promising...but [from the ps] ...Letters occasionally get printed horizontally shif...

Bug? - Footnote reference continuous / per page
Hi, I'm having a strange recurrent problem with a document: The footnote reference numbers, in the document text, sometimes show up as 'continuous', even though the footnotes themselves are correctly numbered 'per page'. ("Per Page" is indeed selected in the Footnote Style.) An example: la...

Re: Save to PDF bug - images move
I don't use images, but if your Nisus file prints all right, you could save it as a ps file and then open that with Preview. If it doesn't print correctly either, then obviously this won't work. Interesting idea. I tried a parallel test, saving to PDF and exporting to PS, and, annoyingly, the bug d...

EPS opacity works on-screen but not print or PDF
Hi, I'm using EPS images in Nisus Pro and for me the opacity seems broken in printing. It reverts to 100% opacity; it prints and makes PDFs and print-Previews fully dark. I tested a GIF in parallel with the EPS test and the GIFs print normally (with opacity gradations) in both cases (from .rtf and f...

Re: Endnotes as 2-column while still automatic?
Have your tried getting more than one endnote per line? You can get multiple short notes on the same line by unchecking the 'One Note Per Line' box in Style Sheet: Multiple Endnotes per line.gif Hamid thanks for the reminder; it may work as a cludge workaround. I had tried that long ago and I neede...

Re: Endnotes as 2-column while still automatic?
Ideally the number of columns in either the footnotes or endnotes area should be independent of the document section. I'll make sure we have this filed as an enhancement- thanks! Thanks. If you have any other workaround suggestions I'll try them. In my current project I need either two or three col...

Re: Change size of 100 copies of eps image?
When you say links, do you mean cross-references that were targeting those images? No, I was inexact. I meant that the little cross-box appears instead of the image; indicating I assumed that the link to the file is somehow compromised; but it could be some other reason. And thank you for the new v...

Re: Change size of 100 copies of eps image?
That's easy enough to change. I'm attaching new macros here, in case they're useful for you. Thanks, I approached these with some trepidation; which was unfounded. Both the resize and the replace Macros you provided above work as you suggest, and having the style name available means I can re-use t...

Re: Balance column text doesn't
It seems the column balancing bug occurs with the Times New Roman font. I tried this, and at first thought you were right: switching to Times (not New Roman), it balanced. But then I tried quickly switching also the size of the font, many times, with Palatino, Times, and Times New Roman, and found ...

Re: Balance column text doesn't
But that's an Endnote in my example. Ah, quite right. I should have noticed, since the columns are balancing at all. I see what you mean, that the text isn't exactly balanced. Would you be able to send me your "blabbity" test document? Sure; that was just a screen shot that I Undid afterw...

Re: Save to PDF bug - images move
Yes, this is indeed a known issue that doesn't have a general purpose workaround- sorry about that. But we are aware of this bug and want to get it fixed. Some things can help stabilize the image location, like changing the placement to "fixed on page" as Steven did. But clearly that isn'...
