Re: Feature Request: Correct Previous Spelling?
Hello anupam, I see you have just joined the forum. Welcome to the friendly Nisus community! Is it possible to add a new command (and shortcut) to do this, so that the toil of having to move back to the point of correction is eliminated? Nisus has already a feature which should prevent you from miss...

Re: Highlighting selected text
I regularly select cells for deletion by dragging the pointer to designate the range, then using Tables-Select-Cells-Delete-Cells. Being a pedant when it comes to word processing, I wonder how you can be using Tables-Select-Cells-Delete-Cells , because these menu commands do not exist in NWP v.3.2....

Re: Highlighting selected text
Hello Adrian and Paieye, it would be better if that Macro could somehow be altered to make the highlighting (or whatever) applicable on the fly, so that the effect became progressively visible as the selection proceeded. Is this possible? Don't know if that’s possible, but after reading Paieye's fir...

Re: Highlighting selected text
Is it possible, though, to adjust the settings so that drag-to-select text drags the highlighting with it ? Perhaps this macro can help. It waits until you make your selection and then highlights it. If you do this frequently you should assign a keyboard shortcut to the macro or create a custom Too...

Re: hyperlink reference to bibliography
All of this talk about numbered bibliographic entries makes me nostalgic for LaTeX. LaTeX bibliographies allow you to use symbolic link names and resolves them to numbers when it typesets the article or book. … and will a click on the reference symbol in the PDF then take you directly to the corres...

Re: Citation Cross-reference problem
Thank you Philip for the step-by-step instruction of how to join the two parts. If I come across any errors I'll let you know. I'll have to study this carefully. You are using commands that I'm not yet familiar with (substring, deleteInRange, insertAtIndex), and I have forgotten why you always do th...

Re: hyperlink reference to bibliography
It's quicker than doing it manually, but still not fully automatic Oops! In my test I used the Vancouver style which is similar to the AIAA style, but it has a slightly different bibliography format. Sorry about this mistake. Find All should look like this: 2.png # Ensure the bibliography is select...

Re: hyperlink reference to bibliography
Hello David, Assuming you are still using a style based on the AIAA citation style where every reference in the reference list (= bibliography) begins with a number enclosed in brackets <https://www.aiaa.org/publications/journals/reference-style-and-format> you should be able to do this if you selec...

Re: Incremental margin numbers in legal texts / Randnummern
Thank you Philip for your thoughts and suggestions regarding how to refine the macro. One problem with inserting temporary markers into the paragraph is that the macro would presumably remove these when run. In that case running the macro a second time wouldn't be possible I think they should indeed...

Re: Incremental margin numbers in legal texts / Randnummern
This seems to work very well if the sample box is set to "float with paragraph." Is it possible to add something to the macro in order to prevent numbers to appear where empty paragraphs are? 1.png Apparently, not all paragraphs should have a number. If the user inserts a place holder at t...

Incremental margin numbers in legal texts / Randnummern
German legal texts often require marginalia in the form of the so called Randnummern (margin numbers.) Randnummern are serial numbers that are cited and allow people to refer to exact locations in the text. They are used in textbooks, legal commentaries, administrative regulations, court decisions, ...

Re: How to move the insertion point into a header?
Hello credneb, wouldn't it be easier to manually select the desired header and then run the macro? Whatever text is to be pasted would have already been copied/generated anyway for the macro to work even if the desired header could be easily selected by the macro. You are quite right. As I explained...

Re: How to move the insertion point into a header?
Hello Philip, Yes, of course. There is the menu command "Go To Header" in the "View" menu. I overlooked that too! This menu command is the right thing for my purpose; and with the defined command you show us once again that there are few things one can not do with Nisus macros. :...

Re: Footnote/Endnote References issue
Welcome to Nisus. I'm not sure I fully understand what you mean. Do you want to reference a footnote in many different parts of the document? Something like this: (see footnote 5.) If yes, then you can easily do this by inserting cross-references. Insert Reference To should be set to "Footnote&...
