At the moment, I am leaning a bit towards Mellel because although it was a bit confusing at first, I feel like I have somewhat more control over the formatting. I'm interested to hear what, specifically, makes you feel this way. I ask because Mellel baffles me. All those buttons and palettes and wi...

I should add, however, that this same document does not cause Mellel to crash to it does appear that NEW is more sensitive to whatever the problem is. As I said, I prefer the NWE interface and toolbar but I suspect that Mellel is just more stable. It feels that way anyway. There's no telling unless...

I recommend that you send the document to Nisus through the "send feedback" menu. It is, most likely, the document. I've run into issues with this in the past, and it has always been a doc that, like yours, has been around the block a few times. But sending the doc to Nisus will let them s...

I predict that, in Netscape-like fashion, NWE will skip 3.0 all together and go straight to version 4.0.

You sure that's not just Birmingham? ;) And that's just the women.... :-) Children, actually. The adults generally get too lazy to actually use their mouths for proper communication any more. I think they use text messaging: Moron 1: "Pub?" Moron 2: "Ug!" Moron 1: "Pint?&quo...

This should take care of any debate about efficiency:

Vergangenheitsbewältigung.

Requires a sentence to translate in English.

Re: 3.0 plans?

Any update on what features are planned for 3.0 and/or when to expect it? I know this is sometimes a delicate question, but it's been a while and any information would help us users make our plans. I wouldn't expect anything publicly other than some kind of notification of whether they'll release a...

What's that academic word? Vergangenheitsbewältigung?

Beautiful. Takes a whole sentence in English to articulate that idea.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just asking vocabulary - but WTH is "NS"? Background: Being German and living with German history and all that, reading "NS"-something leaves me with a creepy feeling. (OK, I confess, I'm a little out of my depth with English alphabet soup...) But, even a...

Well, the problem is that WorldPeace0.1beta is deeply troubled by a series of bugs in NSNatureOfMan, NSPoverty, NSIndustrialWorldIndifferenceToThirdWorld (which is itself troubled by such bugs as NSUSForeignPolicy and NSHistoryOfEuropeanMeddlingWithOtherCountries), and NSExtremism. As a result, oper...

Think of it like a musician copyrighting an entire album rather than all of the songs individually.

Well, you can copyright the plays as a collection, which is a way of saving money.

Re: in the beginning

I put it on the first page (title page) with name and date, but not every page. So does that mean you do not send your work to the LOC, unless/when it gets published Gem*Boy My understanding is that all sending it to the LOC does is register the copyright. The protections exist regardless of whethe...

Have you tried putting "© gemboy27" at the end of your plays?
