As to your losing your previous license key - if you upgraded to your new Mac using Apple's wonderful Migration Assistant utility it would have copied all your documents across from your old machine Ah, yes, but I chose not to migrate the bazillion emails from the old system, as it was getting unwi...

I'm confused. I have a full 2.7 Express single seat installation here, so do I purchase a full copy of 3.0 at $45, or the upgrade at $30? (Either way, with the current sterling/dollar rates, it's a steal! :D ) And how do I retrieve my licence number? I've changed Mac since my first installation, and...

It depends on your keyboard and language, but Command+~ usually does this. It's an OS shortcut, and works on most applications.

I work in draft mode most of the time, and it would be really nice for the insertion point to remain in the middle of the page as I work. At the moment, until the page is full of text, it's fine. After that, I'm peering at the bottom of the screen all the time. I end up shortening the window so I'm ...

Can you not just select the errant word and choose Edit > Convert > Capitalize?

Not automatic, but it cures the double capital. I just tried it.

Nisus Man is cool. He should stay.

The biggest beef I have is that so many icons in my Dock are blue. :?

Like midwinter I use NWE for all text-related input. I generate copy for web sites, software user guides, newsletters and magazine articles. I edit incoming text from friends and colleagues - mainly PC Word users - and use NWE to clean up their appalling spelling and "double spaces after full p...

Yeah, it's frustrating.

I run a hobby forum, and moderate a software forum. Even with the manual registration techniques, they get through.

Usually, I catch them before they post, but then I don't have a life.

I've also had serious and repeated crashing problems with even the most recent version of NWX, especially when using footnotes extensively. And you've been in touch with Nisus and reported these issues? I freelance for a software company, writing and editing user guides with NWE for later layout in...

Children, actually. The adults generally get too lazy to actually use their mouths for proper communication any more. I think they use text messaging:

Moron 1: "Pub?"
Moron 2: "Ug!"
Moron 1: "Pint?"
Moron 2L "Ug!"

I might hazard a guess at it beginning with f and ending with k or -in'.

At least, according to the inarticulate morons that live around here, anway,

 If I understand you, you're typing "H Ed Ctr" as a shortform of Higher Education Centre, and then using the macro to find and replace? If that is so, you might try adding your "shortcuts" to the Instant Fix list under Preferences. So, if you added "HEdCtr" or si...

Try here... >>Clicky<< I'm not certain, but I think NWE uses the languages installed with the OS. So, if your default system language is German, then NWE uses German. And I think you can change that as you work, so passages in your text could be in any other language you want. (I haven't tested this...
