Ruler Margin Snap Away/Over Current Position is Irritating
Hi, A small point, but one which irritates me multiple times a day: When I attempt to drag the main, left-hand ruler marker (the one that marks the left margin), it 'jumps' away from itself, usually by more than I want to adjust it. Then it won't go into the 'jump' area; it will only jump back to wh...

Re: Change size of 100 copies of eps image?
I realize your problem began with already having a lot of pre-existing images in your document, so I'm attaching another macro... One final request: could you please send me a snippet of text that includes the problematic spacer? I'd like to make sure we get this fixed for all image types. Thanks. ...

Re: Balance column text doesn't
Unfortunately column balancing is disabled/unavailable when footnotes are present; this is a known limitation, sorry. Endnotes and section notes do not have this limitation. But that's an Endnote in my example. So still not solved. Plus, even if it's a footnote, I request you fix this in future. St...

Balance column text doesn't
Hi, I'm using a two-column section in my document format (two columns on the same page) with one-column before and after, and I need good balancing of the column text. Unfortunately I'm finding that Nisus is inconsistent about it (sometimes will do it if I force it to reformat a couple of times; som...

Save to PDF bug - images move
Hi, I'm regularly encountering a bug in PDFs made from Nisus Pro in which the image jumps a few lines (changes position relative to the text) in the PDF file. See two images attached for an example of what happens: my original in Nisus is the one that only intersects two lines of text; the other one...

Re: Change size of 100 copies of eps image?
Hi Steven, Just replace the paragraph style name "Spacer" with whatever your document is using. Also, I'd recommend you run this on a copy of your document, because undo may not work as expected. Also, after the macro runs, you'll need to save and reopen the file before the new size is no...

Change size of 100 copies of eps image?
Hi, I have a document that has about 100 copies of a small eps image that I use as a spacer. I've reformatted to a different document size, and now I need to reduce the size of the spacers slightly. Is there any way I can do this without laboriously selecting and changing the size of each one? I kno...

Re: Any way to vary position of Endnotes so they aren't last
In the content of your final document endnote, you could insert a page break, followed by whatever content you'd like....snip..... If you do that, you could set a custom note reference for this final dummy endnote- perhaps a space, so you don't see an additional number/reference for this note. I ho...

Re: Any way to vary position of Endnotes so they aren't last
Is there any reason you can't simply put the last part into a separate document? ....snip Of course, if you need to distribute either a NWP or Word document, this isn't going to work. It all depends on what you want as the final product. Thanks for the suggestion, but, yes, I'm intending sending th...

Endnotes as 2-column while still automatic?
Hi, It appears that Endnotes are either single-column or paragraph form; no option for varying column numbers. If this is true, I feel this is not sufficient. At least half, if not more, of scientific publications use 2 columns in the references (even if there is only one in the main body of the pap...

Any way to vary position of Endnotes so they aren't last?
Hi, I'm in the middle of a complex work that uses Endnotes, and having gotten to almost-the-end I realize that it would be very desirable if I could add a section AFTER the Endnotes. In other words, the placement of the Endnotes is important, and needs to be near the end but not the last section. I'...

Re: Can't directly select text over/under a graphic
Probably the best suggestion I can offer at this time is to use four straight lines, which you can group to make a square. The grouped lines will behave as you want, where clicks in the middle (transparent) area will fall through to the text below. ... I think it would be best if, as you describe, ...

Re: Can't directly select text over/under a graphic
Attaching a file/image to a forum post is a little involved, but it works like this: 1. Find the "Upload attachment" area just below the text entry box where one types a reply. 2. Click the "Choose File" button. OSX's open file dialog appears; select a file and click the dialog'...

Re: Can't directly select text over/under a graphic
I think I understand what you're after Steven, but perhaps it's best if you posted (or sent/emailed) a screenshot of what you hope to achieve. That way I won't keep suggesting options that don't serve your needs very well. OK, I'll try to upload here again (I failed on a previous issue, and will se...

Re: Can't directly select text over/under a graphic
Ah, my apologies Steven! I didn't notice you were talking about a regular block of text in the document body, not a floating text box. I should have read more carefully. Well, that being the situation, there's no way to have the shape not respond to clicks first, even if the shape draws behind regu...
