Finding document content in the Document Manager
I will try to simplify the question I posed yesterday* … in case my first post was not clear. Could someone be so kind, please, and perform a test and report the result afterwards? 1. Create a folder on the Desktop and name it 'Test'. 2. Save a Nisus document as template into that folder. The file s...

Re: The content of Nisus template files can't be found!?
Hello Bob,
It seems you have completely misunderstood my post. I was not talking about the Nisus New File. I was talking about searching the *content* of .doc files created by Nisus.if RTF files work but DOT files do not, I suggest simply using RTF or ZRTF for the Nisus New File.

The content of Nisus template files can't be found!?
Hello everybody, If you create a folder group with files saved as 'Document Template ' in the Document Manager, you'll notice that the Document Manager can't find any content in these files. If they are saved in Rich Text Format, however, then the content is found. 1.png Interestingly, the Finder ca...

Re: Page numbers and sections
I cannot manage to restart a page number in a new section. […] I am running 3.2.2. I do not see updates. I have the same version, and I have no problems. Just a thought, are you sure you have ticked all the right boxes in the Section pane? 1.png how to insert the page number in the margin? You shou...

Re: Change default style of table edges?
Try entering your favorite table as a glossary entry and see if you don't like that better. 1. Create a table and format it the way you want 2. Select the whole table and copy 3. Go to Nisus Preferences > QuickFix and create a new Glossary named 'Table Glossary', for example. 4. Type an abbreviation...

Re: Turning the clock back… (The Russo-Ukrainian War)
Dear Sir Þorvarður, Hitherto I had noticed the backs of his hands as they lay on his knees in the firelight, and they had seemed rather white and fine. But seeing them now close to me, I could not but notice that they were rather coarse, broad, with squat fingers. Strange to say, there were hairs in...

Re: Questions re highlighting and keyboard shortcuts
My guess is that the attributes object is a thin wrapper around an NSAttributedString object which is applied to the text, and it's the specific attributes attached to that NSAttributedString. Thank you, Vanceone, for chiming in. Unfortunately, right now, this all sounds like a gobbledygook to me. ...

I ran into an issue ...in which the metacharacters are situated too high, no matter how I resize or scroll the Find & Replace window. I think you need to adjust the zoom level in the View menu. I use 250%. Place the insertion point first into the "Find what" field and then select your...

Re: Questions re highlighting and keyboard shortcuts
Can I toggle highlighting via keyboard shortcut? I think it's possible to write a macro that does what you want. In pseudo-macro language: Is the text highlighted? If not then highlight the text # To highlight text one could use for the color yellow # $Yellow = Color.newWithRGB255(239, 252, 118) # ...

Re: Questions re highlighting and keyboard shortcuts
In addition to "Select next in style", as johseb pointed out, you can also use "Go to Text in Style…" (from the Character Style menu.) That will give you interesting options not found in Mellel. This command will show you a list of all text in this style. You can also filter the ...

6. Repeat with "Find previous marker" and assign the default shortcut from Mellel (Cmd + Ctrl + [)
