Must be a lot of Nisoids downloading, eh?

Oh, well. Perhaps in a few hours the servers will be open again.

Something seems to be wrong with the Nisus site. Here are direct links.
http://www.nisus.com/files/pro/NWP-v12.dmg 116 MB
http://www.nisus.com/files/pro/NWP-v12-up.zip 101 MB (without Nisus Thesaurus)

Our web host was having some internal server issues, but it looks like things have stabilized now. Who knows if their outage was related to NWP updaters, but the timing could not have been worse for us!

Naw, this is okay for you. And with other links, the program is still getting attention and downloaded.

Good job! Thanks for all the work :)

Congratulations on NWP 1.2 it looks very nice. I'm particularly happy to see the new OO-based file format translator! I'd also like to thank you for the full and complete release notes you issue for each new version - too many vendors (e.g. Apple) nowadays seem to give minimal info about what is new and changed with new versions of their software, it's great to see Nisus continuing to give its users full, complete and useful information with each new release. We need to know everything that's new, everything that's fixed and everything that's changed.

Re: Nisus Writer 1.2 release quits on launch

Post by Berkshireman »

Using OSX 5.5
Nisus 1.2 immediately quits after launching. I tried trashing preferences, cache, app support, but it didn't help.

What's wrong?

If you still have version 1.1, can you launch that and send us a report using the menu Help > Send Feedback? If not, can you please copy the contents of the Apple crash report and email it to the address below directly?

The new odt importer/exporter feature seems to be working great as far as I can tell. I might upgrade my old license (NWE 2.7) to a new NWP 1.2 license, but I haven't decided yet.

Well timed! I had just exported an rtf from scrivener with lots of footnotes, and NWP 1.1 was beachballing as it numbered the pages in page view, but the same document works fine in NWP 1.2 .
