Is there any way to set the table default to no borders?
I frequently use tables as a formatting tool to set up columns of text. It would be much easier to have new tables start out with no borders than to remove them manually each time.

Default Table?
I don't know of a way to set up a default table.
What you can do is create a "glossary" document with the basic table set up the way you like. Put the file someplace; record an applescript to open it
(From NWE Help")
"Save your AppleScripts as compiled scripts (with a ".scpt" extension) or plain text (with a ".applescript" extension) in the folder:
~/Library/Application Support/Nisus Writer/Macros"
Then assign a menu key to that script and you can open it up easily from within NWE
The glossary document can also be a useful place to store non-standard characters, like math symbols, from the system Character palette. (See the International Preferences Pain).

Thanks very much for the idea.
A glossary entry and the apple script is a great solution to the problem.
