Quitting without asking to save?

I have noticed a problem with NWE 2.0.1. If I start typing in NWE, then go to another program, and come back and decide to quit NWE, NWE quits immediately without asking whether I want to save the unsaved document. All other programs I have worked with in the past 14 years have always prompted a response about closing an unsaved document - it asks if that is what I want to do. But not NWE.

is this a "feature"? Or am I missing something?

Do you have "Keep new documents in document manager without asking me" checked in the "General" pane of "Preferences?"

Since I don't use this option, I'm not completely sure of its effect, but that might be the cause of the behavior.

Yep, I had it checked (must be default). Then when I checked Document Manager - there they were!

Thanks.

And indeed, as Craig hints:
Do you have "Keep new documents in document manager without asking me" checked in the "General" pane of "Preferences?"
Database applications do not ask you to save the file before closing. Why should we, processors of words, need to think about these matters. Nisus Writer Express does this saving for us if we set our preferences accordingly.

So, yes, it is a feature!
