small bug in Nisus Writer Pro

Post by David Waterhouse »

When I type the word "Hawai‘i" with the correct reversed apostrophe (Option-]), Nisus Writer Pro converts the word to "Hawai‘I" (with a capital "I"). One then has to correct the final "I" manually. I believe this is a problem within Nisus, as it does not happen in TextEdit, for example.

That's the Quickfix chiming in, David. You need to either disable it in the Preferences or delete the capital "i" entry.

Sorry, I shoudl have said that Quickfix is assuming that the "i" is freestanding and therefore represents the capital of same.

Many thanks, Geoff! I was not aware of QuickFix. (Is my typing that good?)

Or possibly that Quickfix is that good that you haven't noticed it.
