Sticky Format >> Highlight ?

Is there a way to make a custom color chosen with
Format >> Highlight stick?

After highlighting some text, I'd like my custom color
to become the default. Instead, it seems to revert to
the default, which is a too-bright yellow.

You can set this in NWP’s preferences. Go to Nisus Writer Pro > Preferences and click on the Appearance tab. Click on Highlighters and pick your custom color.
