Re: all my images are gone
Thanks for your suggestion, but why 2.0.7?
I don't need any unreliable release for the time being, not in a critical situation: I will not jeopardize my work until this project is finished...
And yes, I've got backup copies: I just want to know what happened to my files.

all my images are gone
NW 2.0.2 here! In my RTFD document, all of my 98 images have been replaced by something like: image-1-1-1-1-1.pdffillOpacity65536dxWrapDistLeft0dyWrapDistTop0dxWrapDistRight0dyWrapDistBottom0 I checked the directory for that unfortunate file: all images are gone! Besides, I know I never named an ima...

Re: Best way to add space at top of page (e.g. chapter title
yes, there are, but I, for one, have solved this by redefining the style of my chapter-title heading [+ no header on a new chapter page] and it's good enough for my needs...chronodm wrote:are there just not many users in the Nisus community that lay things out this way?

Re: paragraph shading overlaps floating images
I'm running NWP 2.0.2 [with OS X 10.5.8] and I didn't have to predefine a special capture format! yes: I get assorted sizes for normal, small and caption-style text, plus the different levels of heading; and then I get the expected colors (both foreground and background), even though I lose the text...

Re: paragraph shading overlaps floating images
it's now been 368 days since I posted the original bug-report, and the bug is still waiting to be squashed… as a matter of fact, there are tricks NWP 1 could do that NWP 2 cannot, and this particular trick is very commonly used for web-page layout; for instance: http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/aug11...

Re: Save to PDF bug - images move
this is definitely not a solution, since the position of the graphics is irrelevant in these cases: my images are usually flushed right a few are flushed left and none are ever centered in the middle of text paragraphs yet most are vertically offset between editing sessions -- or when saved to pdf; ...

Re: Save to PDF bug - images move
I'm having trouble with this too, except I'm dealing with 100s of images, not only 20… and found that most of the times, the only way to solve this is to insert the illustration in a table so it stays put!

Re: Finding a font
yes, there is; try this:
- set the find window in power find pro mode, and look for .+
- uncheck the whole word option
- select format > fonts > document fonts > the font you need
(this should automatically tick the attribute sensitive box) - press find next or find all

argh — unfortunately this is no nickname: it's my family name, actually…
and I didn't pick it up as a nickname either: it was assigned by the board program upon registration, and I'm not aware of a way to alter it now, and I feel sorry!
as for my gender, consider I'm a male

Re: Swap Columns of A Table
select the whole column and cut/paste it at once the problem is pasting behaves inconsistently: if we are dealing with a two-column table, the pasted data will either generate new extra rows (if only cell 0.0 is currently selected) or, if the whole column is already selected, replace the current da...

Re: Swap Columns of A Table
hey, I've got 2 macros, aptly named ←move column left and →move column right… and I didn't write them: aren't they part of the standard package?

Re: paragraph shading overlaps floating images
a 100 days later: as shown by the image below (captured while running NWP 2.0.2), this bug hasn't been squashed yet… and the paragraph-shading attribute color still prints on top of the floating image and, oh, yes: when asked for a sample document long ago, this is precisely the one that I've sent t...
