Re: formatting imported urls
The links are links that were live in an email in Mail, but were turned into plain text when copied to Nisus. I just found a workaround that will work for me, since it does not come up too often: paste copied text into DevonThinkPro 1.5.4 first---links remain live---then copy and paste into Nisus, a...

Re: vertical ruler, free
Doubtless someone has already mentioned Free Ruler, http://www.pascal.com/software/freeruler/ , but just in case... Features: • A horizontal and vertical ruler which can be used independently or simultaneously. • Measurement in pixels, inches, picas, or centimeters. • Automatic alignment of rulers. ...

formatting imported urls
Is there a global (all at once) way to format urls, scattered throughout text copied and pasted into Nisus?

desired minor fix on re-opening files
If Nisus WP is not running, and I double-click on a doc in the Finder, that doc opens first but then is buried under whatever docs were open when I last closed the app. (I have my prefs set for this)
Would it be a trivial fix, to see to it that the doc I specifically clicked on ends up on top?

Make a new 1.3 features thread??
Nisus folk,
Should we start a new thread here "Desired NWP 1.3 Features" ?
There are, naturally, a lot of wishes in the 1.2 thread that were not granted when 1.2 came out. Do you still look at this thread?
Any comments on what we can look forward to in 1.3?

Re: Desired NWP1.2 Features
Has anyone mentioned the lost ability to tile and stack windows? I have tried hard to find some easy to use add-on for OS X that will do this in all apps and my inability to do so makes me wonder if something about OS X's handling of windows precludes it. Expose is not a substitute because the windo...

Re: Desired NWP1.2 Features
Dirk, Thanks for the tip about the macro. It would be useful for some things but lacks two of the features I found most valuable about the Classic "Search all selected docs": 1. Not necessary to open docs to be searched, just select in the "Catalog" (a more capable version of tod...

Re: side by side editing, lockstep scrolling?
Hamid,
Thanks for that reference to Jedit X. I used this a lot while waiting for Nisus X to get back some of its capabilties but hadn't looked at it lately.

Re: Desired NWP1.2 Features
One of old Nisus's features I pine for was the ability to search a lot of docs at once and then see all the results with each showing a line of the text found surrounding the search term. This was very useful! I am experimenting with iVerbum for this but it wants to make big indexes and that seems u...

Re: Desired NWP1.2 Features
Re: vertical rulers I agree that is a needed feature. In the meantime, some might like Free Ruler, http://www.pascal.com/software/freeruler/ It opens as a horizontal ruler, but Menu Ruler> Show vertical ruler, will add a vertical ruler so it is like a t-square. Or ungroup the horizontal and vertical...

Re: Bookmarks: eliminate the "(autonamed)" tag?
Okay, figured this out myself. Should have explored further before posting! Just use the other "Add bookmark" command, and the highlighted text I chose will appear in the bookmark creation pane, ready for me to replace it---or approve it. Same title as if autonamed but no "autoname&qu...

Bookmarks: eliminate the "(autonamed)" tag?
Is there a way, or could this be added sometime, to autoname bookmarks but not have the long tag "(autonamed)" appear after each one, in the Navigator?
Perhaps in some future version there could be just a symbol instead of the tag?

side by side editing, lockstep scrolling?
Any chance of a return of the feature that allowed one to edit 2 documents side by side and scrolling one caused the other to keep pace? [or did I dream that, as a feature of the old Nisus?]
