I wrote this macro years ago. It should work OK with NWP's last version too.

Hello.
If I remember correctly, these features are in the pro version only.

Re: Trying to create index with imported PDF - page numbers
Celeste, I think you'd better share an excerpt of the file. A few pages will do. I've formatted over a hundred books, ranging from 180 to 400 pages, with or without images, mostly published on Amazon. But I've never experienced the troubles you listed. I remember a bug that the header showed in a bl...

Re: More space above first chapter page Heading
Unless specified otherwise in a paragraph style, NWP should insert an invisible, empty paragraph after every break. Something visible to NWP only. If I remember correctly I suggested so years ago. I insert an empty paragraph with as small a size as possible, but have to remove it when I export the f...

Re: Em dash short cut
Hello, Adrian. You might need to customize the keyboard layout. You can do this using an utility called Ukelele (http://scripts.sil.org/ukelele). I myself used it years ago. It’s very simple and easy to use. You can create a custom layout you can select through the keyboard selector. Cheers, Henry. ...

Re: Go back to previous cursor location/position?
Hello suzie_b To go to the insertion point: Edit > Select > Flash selection. To go the previous selection: Edit > Select > Previous selection. To go to the next selection: Edit > Select > Next selection. If you want to have the last two at hand, right-click on the toolbar and click Customize Toolbar...

Re: Removed Font still shows up in PDF as Embedded Subset
Good to know it. I’ll add these styles to my templates. The only thing I didn’t like was the blue color, the rest is alright. Thanks, Martin.

Re: Removed Font still shows up in PDF as Embedded Subset
One exception to that rule are some special PDF character styles: PDF Link - Cross-Reference PDF Link - Index PDF Link - TOC By the way, Martin, those styles are created only after the file is converted to pdf. So if I want to modify them, I need to convert the file to pdf, modify the styles, and t...

Re: Block Quotes and Spacing Before/After
I use a white border like this: 1. Select the paragraph(s). 2. Select Thickness: Hairline. 3. Set border color to white, so the border is invisible (I suppose the background is white too). 4. Set vertical padding to whatever you want the vertical spacing to be. Please not that this will affect bot s...

Hello Uli.Uli wrote:when testing NWP, I could find no way to do this. Is this correct?
Yes, you are right. NWP doesn’t have any hyphenation exception file. I’m sure it’s a much needed feature among non-english users. D’you hear, Martin?
