Re: NW for iPad?

The iPad opportunity for Nisus is long gone -- the train left the station years ago. May as well let this topic die. :( Cheers, Geoff Is there really no way for an iPad app? That's too bad. A lot of Nisus users also want to have this on the go. The time to develop an iPad/iPhone app was nearly a de...

Hi Featherless

I'm intrigued about publishing books out of NWP. Might I ask what sort of books do you publish?

Re: Make a row of a table an exact height

The inability to fix row heights and column widths is a weakness of the tables which should have been fixed long since.

Re: I hope nobody minds: TOT - news to Denmark, Seekers musi

Thanks Martin, both for your reply and for your allowing me to make a TOT post. The old-timers would know who I am talking about but my old time brain can't recall his name. A great Nisus user and supporter and loved The Seekers and Judy Durham particularly -- maybe even more than he loved Nisus. :)...

Re: I hope nobody minds: TOT - news to Denmark, Seekers musi

Has our Danish friend left us? I have been out of touch for a bit because I am stuck on 2.0.7 with X.6.8 and really had nothing to say. :) I will soon be upgrading, though -- I already have X.9.4 on the reserve computer! I wonder if that will last me as long -- or if I will last as long as it? :) Ch...

I hope nobody minds: TOT - news to Denmark, Seekers musical

My memory for names is totally failing (never was good, but now it is tending towards non-existent). Do we still have a Denmark connection? The Seekers musical has been launched in Melbourne (of course) "Georgy Girl" -- check the internet.

Re: "Facing Columns"

And here is an example of where it would make sense for Nisus to be a Linkback provider.... according to the website, iCalamus accepts Linkback! So you could write and edit your text in Nisus, and link back would update it in iCalamus. To handle the situation in this thread, you could have two docu...

Re: Future viability of Nisus

To be more precise rtf has been developed by Microsoft. The same company decided not to improve it. Apple decided that rtf would not be allowed on the iOS and dropped from Pages. For a concise story of this standard please refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_Text_Format. I was aware of that,...

RTF not being supported properly by Apple? Big surprise. They are playing their nasty old game to cripple developers.

Re: Future viability of Nisus

2.1 from 2.07 doesn’t sound like a big upgrade -- maybe just an update to keep up with Apple;s OS changes. Tgey did announce that X.6.8 would no longer be supported which leaves me out. That's fine except for the fact that the tables function is still not what it should be in my view. Apart from tha...

Re: Problem saving pdf file

This is hilarious from my POV. I produce PDFs all the time to go to print both locally and at distant printers (including Lightning Source, half a world away from me here in the New Guinea Islands) out of the ancient Canvas X running on OS X.6.8, and I have never had a problem with printing just usi...
