Re: 2 NWPs?

You can type the following line in terminal (copy and paste, really).

Code: Select all

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

Printing bug

Strange printing bug this morning. The document I'm working on has two pages in landscape mode for displaying graphics. These pages are setup using section break. I printed the document and then something strange happened. The header and footer on the landscape pages is flipped upside down and mirro...

Re: Nisus for iPad

Chère Anne, (I'm tempted to continue in french, but for the benefit of everyone here, I'll keep my reply in english), I totally get what you're saying. As a french speaking person, using the iPad for writing can be painful and slow. I did find a few tricks with the touch screen keyboard to help alon...

Re: Latex cite and bibliography

Thanks a lot, Philip. When I wrote my last paper, I had to use Pages. With this macro, you basically makes it possible for me to use NWP again for writing my papers.

Really big kudos to you for taking the time to do this.

Variable Height Vertical Spacing

I know it's not there, and I can't remember seeing such a feature in any word processor, but it would be nice to get a variable height vertical spacing option in the Spacing for After paragraph. Such a feature would make it possible to write letters where the body would always be centered on the pag...

Inserting file

OK, here's the deal. I made many different files for different documents. I would like to be able to create a new document and then insert the files in this new document in a specific order so that if I change one of the files, the new document will also reflect the changes. I haven't been able to d...

Re: What about: "Export/Save as ePub"

I totally agree with you Steve. Even if Apple didn't hit a homerun with Pages, the fact that they are alone now to offer such an app is enough to give them a real advantage. Someone needs to come up with an alternative. I'm pretty sure many developers are working hard on that right now. I would love...

Re: What about: "Export/Save as ePub"

We currently don't have any plans to release software for the iPad, but we are always evaluating the situation. For those users that are interested in such a thing, what kind of writing would you want to do on the go? A lot of the travelling I do is for attending meetings and training as part of my...

Re: What about: "Export/Save as ePub"

By installing Calibre, you also install the command line tools to make those conversion. I guess it would be possible to write a script that could be activated from within NWP to make this conversion.

Just an idea…

Re: What about: "Export/Save as ePub"

You can use Calibre (http://calibre-ebook.com/) to do the conversion from RTF to ePub. I did it and it works really well. Calibre is a free ebook content manager. But in the same vein, I'm curious to know if Nisus have any plans to make a version of their Nisus Writer available for the iPad? Persona...

Re: Druide French Corrector

I'm an ex-french teacher now turned school principal. I have been using Antidote RX for over two years now with a variety of applications. Here are a few comments. It's very good. As far as correcting spelling errors and « accords », it does a great job most of the time. But, it will not replace a g...

I'm not a specialist of this issue, but if hyphenation is so important to you, why not use LaTeX which is probably one of the best program to deal with hyphenation and typesetting. Just a suggestion.

Table style

As a teacher, I have to create work sheet with some space to write down the answers. I usually make an empty table after each question where they can write their answers. I erase the line on each side to give the impression that these are lines to write on. Now here is my question: is it possible to...
