Re: Default Page Width for Opening Existing RTF Documents
I'm having a similar issue. When I open an existing document not created with Nisus, the window opens based on the size of my Nisus New File template, but the zoom is always set to 100%. Is there any way to make the zoom also respect default settings?

slow open dialog in 3.0
With NWP 3.0, using the file open dialog results in a beach ball for a second or two, then when the window appears, its contents are greyed out for a fraction of a second. And when I close the dialog there's also a delay as the file display area of the window turns grey before closing. All with High...

Re: convert footnotes to endnotes
Could this be changed to a more intuitive UI in the future? I have been using NWP for seven years and still need to Google this forum post every time I need to convert an endnote to footnote or vice versa. I think most users expect a status bar to be displaying information, not enabling actions, and...

Feature request: Style Sheet view in separate window
I have gotten spoiled by working on web sites in Espresso - where I can open a CSS style sheet in one editor window and a preview in the other, and alter styles and see the changes reflected in the preview immediately. Using CSS has convinced me that a style-based system like Nisus encourages is the...

Importing from Style Library
Hi
I am trying to add a line to a macro to import styles from one of the files in the Style Library. I can run the menu command
Import from Style Library
but I can't figure out how to pass an argument & avoid fiddling with the dialog manually. Is this possible?
thanks
Derick

BUG: track changes and footnotes
When I have edited footnotes in a document, then use the command Tools > Track Changes > Accept All Changes... NWP Pro doesn't include changes that have been made to existing footnotes. Unfortunately I can't consistently replicate this with other files. I nearly just submitted an article which was s...

Re: random variation in footnote number placement
Thanks - I looked & looked, moving the cursor all around, but the line spacing settings in the Drawer never changed, & changing them manually could increase the space, but not get rid of it.
Eventually, though, I used Remove Attributes Except Styles, which did get rid of the uneven spacing.

random variation in footnote number placement
As far as I can tell the footnotes in the attachment are identically styled -- all appear identical on all the settings in the drawer, & use the Footnote style. But the number is higher on the bottom two than the top two. Any way to fix this? All the other footnotes in the document appear as # 3...

Re: Splash Screen & Text Box
I would love to see an option to disable the splash. Splash screens seem to be an unpleasant holdover from the cluttery aesthetics of OS 9 and previous. (NWP and Filemaker, both programs with old mac roots, are the only programs I use that have splash screens). Also disable the bouncing dock. I'd li...

Re: 1.4 gets REALLY slow!
I am running on a similar system (PPC but 1.8 Ghz, 1.5 GB ram) & suddenly had the same problem and remembered this post. It turned out I had a Find window open in the background with text in it. As soon as I closed the Find window, typing speed went back to normal.

Converting is unacceptably and painfully slow
Something has to be done to fix the conversion speed in NWP on Snow Leopard. It takes well over a minute to open a 38K / 6 paragraph or so Word document that opens instantaneously in Pages and Word. If I were trying the program for the 1st time and experienced this I probably wouldn't stick with NWP...
