Got it! I think…: find and replace by attribute

Heureka… I guess I found the solution. I've read some more and found among others Kino's mentioning of "Set Find Shown": http://www.nisus.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3185 Then it took me some time to realize how useful "Set Find Shown true" is. Anyway, after some more expe...

Re: find and replace by attribute

I guess, what I need is in line with Kino's explanation over there:
http://www.nisus.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3089

But I'm sorry that I can't grasp how there to here, i.e. 'display as …'.

Follow-up: find and replace by attribute

Dear all, I've got a follow-up question. A macro would save a lot of time in the long run since it's several steps, in my case the transformation of certain abbreviations from small caps to CAPS. (for me, it's a follow-up to my "CAPS to small caps" thread below, to have simple commands for...

Re: nwp 1.1 bold footers and notes

Good to see that I'm not alone with that.
By now, I'm just ignoring that but it's coming back again and again. Could be the same problem: I use a standard template.

Any idea or response?

Re: Macro for linguists: CAPS to Small Glosses

Many thanks again! As I'm not a linguist, I may misunderstand the purpose of your macro but you can combine the two Find All commands using | (OR operator). Of course you're just right. I'm just starting to use RegEx etc. And I shouldn't spend too much time with technical stuff like that :-) And if ...

Macro for linguists: CAPS to Small Glosses

The macro below takes two or more CAPS + [MFN] followed by Punctuation ans transforms them to Small Caps. This is an easy way to transform easy, rtf GLOSSES to fancy layout glosses. It's rather simple, but should be helpful enough. I hope that'll save some time for someone else, too. Find All '[A-Z]...

oooh… Okay.

Many thanks, Kino.

Yes, obviously I haven't even tried "Search All".
Cool, that that works like in TextWrangler, e.g. … oh, just like in NeoOffice.

Probably, I've just missed that in Word all those years, too…

Well, thanks a lot!

Search anything (e.g. in CAPS) and change to small caps

Dear all, so, my issue is the following: is there an automatic way to replace words found by find/replace by small caps? In my case, it's glosses consisting of 2 or more CAPS. I'm able to find them with the GREP/Powerfind search. But I haven't found a way to 1. change the format of found texts 2. mo...
