Re: A same footnote referenced twice (or more) in a same pag
Hi everybody. In one page of my document, a word refers to a footnote (let's say the footnote number 1) at the end of the page. How can I force another word on the same page to point to the same footnote 1. If copy-paste the footnote reference (the uperscript number) from the first word to the seco...

Thanks everyone for your feedback on speed and other long document features. I am curious about the speed issues that several of you had commented on. Charles: I've opened my dissertation (250 pages) in Nisus and had no problems whatsoever. Thanks also for letting us know what other features are im...

On a related note, if we were to focus on one or two things to improve long document support in Nisus Writer Express, what would you say it should be? Typing speed? File open time? Find/Replace performance? More writing tools of some type? Something else? You know, I was just thinking about this th...

We are working on outlines, lists, bullets and numbers for this next release. We don't have a specific release date set yet but we are getting close; I hope to start testing sometime in early March. Sweet!!! In addition to some internal changes to our development process, we are also going to provi...

though I don't really think it is appropriate to discuss Pages here in the NWE forum -- this place is supposed to be about NWE after all -- I am curious about what people think are the writing **tools** that Pages lacks but that NWE has? Have fun writing an endnote in Pages. ;) But what else? Why i...

I bought Pages, too, but I'm finding it nearly impossible to work in. Because it attempts to split the difference between being a word processor and a page layout application, it does neither of them particularly wall. Trying to add a table to an existing document and then resize that table nearly g...

Feature Request List
I can't remember if anyone has started one of these, and I wonder if the mods could make it a sticky thread.
Here's what I'd like to see in future iterations of NWE:
1) Convert footnotes to endnotes and vice versa
2) Bulleted lists (I know this is coming)

Nisus should look at the Ulysses program from Blue-Tec and how they handle bundling together interrelated documents. Nisus needs to beef up the Document manager. Make it look like iTunes -- selectable folders of related documents on the left, lists of files on the right, etc. I said a few weeks ago...
