Re: NWP won't run on rickety Mac Mini
I did try deleting NWP & downloading a new copy before posting to the forum w/o any luck, but I'll try again.

NWP won't run on rickety Mac Mini
NWP has stopped working on my 2007ish Mac Mini running OS 10.7.5. Initially the program would open & then freeze, but now it fails to open at all. Did my attempt to update to NWP 2.1.1 cause compatibility issues? Is it possible to go back to 2.1.0 or 2.0?
Thanks in advance,
Nick

Re: mystery gray text background
Thanks for the suggestions. I had already tried to remove the background color w/o any luck. I think that it must be a style issue, but I don't usually work w/ styles & have no clue how to solve the problem. The only style listed for the doc is Normal (web), but even if I change it to Normal the...

mystery gray text background
I convert MS docs to rtf to view w/ Nisus, & I sometimes get text that show up w/ a gray background that I can't convert to white. I've tried turning off the gray background for automatic text in preferences, but no joy. Any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Nick D.

annoying warning message on opening
Since I updated NWP to the most recent version I receive Apple's warning "You're opening a program downloaded from the internet!" every time I open NWP. I have to click "Continue," & then NWP is opened in the background so that I have to find it to open a new file. Is there s...

Re: finding HTML-linking text?
Thanks a lot. That's exactly what I need. I'm a little disappointed that PowerFinder won't do this.

finding HTML-linking text?
I've copied a bunch of text from a website & copied it into a Nisus doc. Is there an easy way (i.e. not involving writing a macro) to find all of the text that links to URLs so that I can remove the formatting? When I highlight a linked word & click "select all" from the bottom of ...

solution from MacWorld
Here's the solution that appeared recently in MacWorld's Tips column: "Problem: The letter O followed by a slash turns into an Ø If you type the letter O followed by a slash (/), and it turns into the letter Ø, you must be using Palatino, Hoefler, Chicago, or New York in a program like TextEdit...

new doc screen size & tool drawer view
My new docs now open in a reduced size on the screen, & I have to resize them to fit the whole thing. Sometimes (I think) that they open w/ the Tooldrawer set at Table palette. How can I make sure that new docs open fit to screen size & w/ the Formatting palette showing?

Nisus New confusion
I selected a recent doc as my Nisus New file in the expectation that only its attributes would be present when I open a new document. But now when I open a new doc not only the desired attributes, but also all of the text from the paradigm document are present. Have I misunderstood the idea of using...

font-neutral style?
I need a block quote style that is font-neutral, so that the quote itself appears in Greek (New Athena Unicode), w/ the citation in English (Palatino). So far I've only been able to get both quote & citation to appear in 1 font or the other. I then have to change 1 of them manually. Is it possib...

thanks
I created a new style "10 pt" & then assigned the F1 key successfully. The whole process was much more convoluted than it should have been, but it worked in the end. Thanks for the help,

keyboard shortcut for 10pt font?
I'm revising my dissertation for publication & use 12pt font for the text of the main body, but 10pt font for the footnotes. I do lots of cutting/pasting & would like to use a keyboard shortcut to make my pasted footnote text 10pt. My attempt to assign the F1 key fails. In prefs I go to menu...
