Re: NW for iPad?

Paolo, I get simple. I don't get stripping away formatting that Pages iOS can't recognize and changing the document. Simple doesn't necessitate destructive formatting (as Docs2Go shows). For those who create simple documents and finish those documents the first time around, this might not be a probl...

Re: Total Page Numbers in Document AND Pages in Section?

Hi DSL, This is a hard one. Unless there is some macro-magic, I don't see any way to do this, because when you reset page numbering for the section, it also resets page numbering for the total document in the footer. I've tried every combination that makes logical sense, and I can't get NWP to do th...

Re: Feature Request

Sometimes I feel like I've crawled out of the 18th century, but that's just before I've had my coffee. I miss my Bondi Blue...I'll never forget when I went to CompUSA on the day they were released and I set it up. It was so much faster than my Mac Classic. And OS 8 was so ... dare I say it ... prett...

Re: NWP to keep track of files/folders once moved or renamed

I mentioned this in another post about Nisus for iPad and the limitations of Pages iOS's workflow, but I want to say it again. Production software (and if you're a writer, there's no better production software than NWP) lives or dies by how it facilitates workflow. One of the special things about Ni...

Re: NW for iPad?

I call it convoluted for the following reasons: 1. iCloud only - the only way to interact with the cloud directly is through Apple's own service, which if you must work with a lot of documents, is an even more convoluted mess, if only because I want a folder structure, not app-specific documents. It...

Re: Feature Request

Has it really been 8 or 9 years ago??? So much has changed since then. Remember when you NEVER EVER EVER saw anyone using a Mac? And, now, it seems that everyone does. I sort of miss those days, actually. My Mac Classic and I against the world. :) And then my Bondi Blue iMac and me against the world...

Re: NW for iPad?

When the iPad first came out and I bought one, I had no idea that it would ever become a work device. It was simply too limited. Things have changed. Now, on my 2nd iPad (iPad 3), I sorely miss Nisus Writer Pro (or even Express). I would love to be able to open a file I'm working on in Nisus (perhap...

Re: carbonite.com?

I use Dropbox for my backup needs. It is fast, reliable, and I've never had one problem with it. It has gotten a bit pricey as of late, but they give you a 100GB of storage. Eventually, you run into how practical backing up 100GB of files, even over a speedy internet connection. What I like about Dr...

Feature Request

Hi Nisus Folks, It's amazing to me to see how Nisus has grown from Nisus Express 1.0 to NWP 2.0.4. I've written a Masters Thesis and a Doctoral Dissertation, along with more than a few articles in it, and it has never let me down (not even once). I have probably made this request before, but I would...

Re: Best format for working with Word?

I'll chime in in agreement. Save as RTF. The only problems I ever run in to, and these are small, are paragraph spacing issues around headers. Other than that, the formatting and the document is surprisingly preserved.

Re: Book on Nisus Writer Pro

I'm with most everyone else here. I'd purchase it because i support the platform, however, a "Take Control of Nisus Writer Pro Macros and Workflows" would be most useful to me, especially in workarounds for document sharing with other wp's (yeah, unfortunately we have to work with people w...
