Many thanks, Þorvarður.
I had searched the manual, but obviously didn't use the appropriate keywords. Now I see it is there.

How to make crossreferences update
I am writing a longish document in v3.0.1. It includes numbered examples at various points in the text, which form a list. Quite often I need to refer back to an example ('as in example 21'). These crossreferences use the Nisus crossreferencing machinery, which mostly works fine. Sometimes I insert ...

Yes, I did!Þorvarður wrote:Hello Malcolm,MalcolmRoss wrote:I would like to understand what is happening, and whether I've made a mistake somewhere.
Did you make sure that the option "Different Headers" in the 'Headers and Footers' palette is enabled for *each* section?

Misbehaving headers
I am working on a book-length file. Yesterday I put a section break after each chapter, then inserted in each section appropriate headers/footers for that chapter, with the first page of each section different, and a difference between left- and right-hand pages. When I reopened the file this mornin...

Re: Bug in Lists palette in 2.0.5 ?
Many thanks for 2.0.6. The list renumbering mechanism now functions as it used to, and I am very grateful for this.

Re: Bug in Lists palette in 2.0.5 ?
I was however able to change the starting number of a list by going through the style sheet view. Select the list level you want to change the starting number and then adjust it in the palette. This worked for me. Thank you. But I've just tried this and it changes all the lists in the file simultan...

Re: Do you support Nisus issuing more frequent NWP bug-fixes
I've been thinking about this a bit further. It seems to me that when a bug in software actually affects functionality and there is no easy workaround (true of one or two recently reported bugs in 2.0.5), then the producer of purchased software has some obligation to rectify that bug as soon as poss...

Re: Do you support Nisus issuing more frequent NWP bug-fixes
Yes, I certainly support the issuing of more bug fixes. There is an annoying new bug in 2.0.5 described under the topic 'Bug in Lists palette in 2.0.5 ?' I use the Number field in the palette to change the number in a numbered list. In the past this has worked fine, but in 2.0.5 the number shown in ...

Bug in Lists palette in 2.0.5 ?
I make frequent use of the Lists palette and often use the Number field to change the number in a numbered list. In the past this has worked fine, but in 2.0.5 the number shown in the palette is not transferred into the document, so one cannot override automatic numbering. Am I the only person with ...

Split window?
In most word processors one can split the window in order to see two parts of the document simultaneously. This seems not to be possible in Nisus Writer Pro (and I recall Joe Kissell mentioning this in his review of NWP 2 in TidBITS)--or am I missing something? Is there any plan to introduce this fe...

Changing table cell borders by means of a macro?
Is it possible to change table cell borders by means of a macro? Specifically, having selected a table, I would like to set its borders to 'None' or 'Hairline'.

Setting the tier of a section number in a macro
I am trying to write a macro which will replace section headers marked by tags (actually the LaTeX tags '\section', '\subsection' etc) with formatted, numbered headers. The one thing that has defeated me is the numbering of subsections and subsubsections. Manually, the numbers are inserted with Form...
