Thanks for the notification, @martin. I will try it on next occasion. (Using Nisus not so often currently.)
Must have been a problem in the very core of the code, considering it took 5 years to fix

Re: Cross-references with “above”/“below” and language setti
I took a look and the problem you were having earlier wasn't due to any preferences. It looks like there's a bug with the newly added language-sensitive cross-reference suffix, where Nisus Writer won't consider the language of any styles (eg: Normal). Yes, you are right. In the moment when I add th...

Re: Cross-references with “above”/“below” and language setti
I don’t get it. Your file is working fine here.
Here is mine, please test it: I’ll try to force the app to create new preferences. Maybe this will help.

Re: Cross-references with “above”/“below” and language setti
Is your text marked as German? Languages in Nisus Writer work like other kinds of formatting, eg: just like you can have a document with multiple fonts applied, you can have a document with multiple languages applied. No I don’t have multiple languages applied, not to the bookmark not to the refere...

Re: Cross-references with “above”/“below” and language setti
Thanks for the good news. But it behaves exactly as it did before, it gives me an English “above” in a 100% German text. (And the strings are still in Nisus\ Writer\ Pro.app/Contents/Resources/de.lproj/Localizable.strings .) I’ve checked the version and it’s definitely 2.1.4. Probably I’m missing so...

Re: Cross-references with “above”/“below” and language setti
Hi Martin, But I think in the long-run that using that a magic QuickFix entry is not a great solution. It might be acceptable as a short-stop solution, but eventually there should be a proper interface that lets the user edit these two words, either in the Language preferences or the insert cross-re...

Re: Cross-references with “above”/“below” and language setti
I'll file a feature request that this should be language dependent (ie: change the translation based on the language applied to the inserted cross-reference), and that the words used for each language should be customizable by the user in NWP's preferences. Hi Martin, I’m back to Nisus, 4 years aft...

Comments are printed twice to PDF
Every comment appears two times in the PDF, see screenshot. The double comment icons are accurately placed one of top of the other. Screen Shot 2015-12-12 at 20.03.31.png Anybody seeing the same? NWP 2.1.2, OS X 10.11.2 (15C50) I never printed comments to PDF before, so I can’t say if this behavior ...

Re: Rogue empty paragraphs before tables, when opening in Wo
Thanks for the swift reply. Two additional observations: The described additional-paragraph-before-table issue sometimes also happens with tables that are not at the very beginning. But in these cases the rogue paragraph somehow seems to go away when doing some reformatting or re-applying styles. I ...

Rogue empty paragraphs before tables, when opening in Word
In an attempt to further shift my work away from MS-Word while still guaranteeing (some) editing compatibility for my mostly Windowish clients I’m migrating some of my templates to Nisus. I stumbled upon a weird problem: One of my templates begins with a table in the main body as well as in the head...

Re: German Hyphenation / Nisus Documents on Server
Thanks for the info, that sounds good.
However while reading the release notes I didn't find a mention of the cross reference language bug (http://j.mp/P1COwh). So I guess that one is still on the todo list?

Re: German Hyphenation / Nisus Documents on Server
Thank you. I will give it a try, until my Nisus trial expires. Maybe I will buy a license once they release a multilingual version that works out of the box. Obviously I'm kinda pissed off by their false "multilingual" marketing :( EDITED: Your script is very nice and works well. Didn't tr...

Re: German Hyphenation / Nisus Documents on Server
I'm still evaluating Nisus and I can confirm that ThomasF's solution works. Thanks for the hint. I work also with TeX (ConTeXt) and consider the TeX hyphenation patterns to be really good (Indesign isn't bad either). Wise decision from Apple to rely on these patterns, pity that they include only the...
