there's not much we can do about these issues until the makers of our forum software package (phpBB) releases an update that fixes the bugs.
Thanks Martin, good to know.
All the best to you…

Re: basic knowledge of Nisus templates

Hello everybody, this is a reply to Yohanan's last three posts in the thread "How do I apply a template to an existing document (RTF)" <http://nisus.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=31056#p31056> Both threads are tackling the same issue, so from now on it's best to keep the discussion in one thread only. :...

Glitch in the Forum software

Since the forum version was updated some time ago I'm seeing strange behavior that wasn't there before the update. 1) It doesn't seem to be possible now to upload more than 2 screenshots at a time, even though the added size is under 100 KB. 2) One of the screenshots tends to disappear if the Previe...

Re: How do I apply a template to an existing document (RTF)

Open a copy of a typical old file with layout (page size, margins, etc.) and all the styles you need and save it as a blank Nisus New File. I forgot to mention that it's not enough to just save it as a blank Nisus New File. You need to *tell* Nisus that you have a new "Nisus New File" now. Otherwis...

Re: How do I apply a template to an existing document (RTF)

A. For most of them I use the same text and format definitions […] Is there any way to have all older docs (already converted into rtf format) align with the template or New File I have saved in Nisus? Open a copy of a typical old file with layout (page size, margins, etc.) and all the styles you ne...

Re: Save Dialog Box Too long

Welcome to the Nisus Forum! :-)
Hover over either the lower right or the left corner of the dialog box, and the cursor will change to slanting ⬍ arrows. Now press and hold down the left mouse button while you adjust the size.

Re: Forum issue: Macro attachments?

Is this an issue introduced by the change to the new forum style? It wouldn't let me attach a Nisus macro. The macros (with .nwm) seem to have disappeared from the forum entirely. I tried to upload 3 screenshots a couple of days ago. I wanted them to be inline with the text, but they kept changing ...

Re: Importing from Word and Numbered lists

Hello Philip, I run the macro early this morning on a document with several different list styles, but nothing happened. Now, several hours later, I tried again and now I get the error message that there is an error on line 18: the variable "$type" has not been defined. I first thought the original ...

Copying from Firefox and pasting into NWP works fine too. Which website are you trying to copy from?

Nisus Writer Pro 2.1.8
Firefox 60.0.2 (64-bit)
macOS Sierra 10.12.6

Re: TOC in alphabetical order

Hi, is there good way to do this ? You can do this very easily if you use the *index* feature instead of TOC. An index is sorted alphabetically and can be placed at the beginning of a document (or wherever you want.) It can also be formatted in various ways. I would like to have the same formatting ...

Re: Nisus auto save on close with no warning

took the pdf [Do you mean 'png'?] to Photoshop and made it a web jpg, bit of a tedious process to get a screen image. Maybe you used a sledgehammer to crack a nut. You can use Preview (the program) to reduce the size of screenshots. 1. Open the screenshot in Preview 2. Choose Export… from the File ...

Re: Nisus auto save on close with no warning

Also, I thought the back up save was saved versions, but there was only one version, which matched the new save. Is there something wrong there too? When you say "back up save", are you then referring to saving a duplicate copy of each file to another location? (See Nisus Preferences –> Saving: Bac...
