Re: PDF anomaly with Chinese
Interesting. I'm on Mojave and all of your results are true under that OS; copy and pasting from your PDF's shows that only your last one under 11.2.2 will copy any Chinese text. When I Export to PDF from Nisus (latest version) under Mojave I get a PDF of Chinese but copy/pasting that results in a d...

Re: Bug? Nisus 3 seemingly randomly "Typesetting Text..." and sluggish, 50% CPU use, in long doc already open for hours
If Nisus makes any change, it will trigger an autosave at some point. You can watch your window title, where it has the name of your document. If it has (edited)" after your document name, an autosave is in your near future. Some things like scrolling or moving the window don't add an edit, but some...

Re: Bug? Nisus 3 seemingly randomly "Typesetting Text..." and sluggish, 50% CPU use, in long doc already open for hours
Another thing that may impact this is autosave. I frequently run into the spinning beach ball when I have a complex document filled with images. Frequently I have to add, say, 70 or so full page PDF graphics as sort of an appendix. When I do that, saving the document becomes long, not quite sure why...

Re: Creating a document that can be imported into WordPress
While I agree that Nisus isn't a perfect HTML editor (when I write HTML, I use sublime text) have you tried the File:Export as.... command? That will allow you to save a document in HTML or HTML chapter format. It might be what you need.

Re: Page numbers and Screen Splits
So I can confirm that whatever pane is active is the one that controls the output of the PDF. That said, I sent a PDF to Martin that shows something fascinating: I have a three section document, with the first section (the first page) showing nothing, the second starting at 1, using lowercase roman....

Re: Page numbers and Screen Splits
So here's a screenshot of what I'm seeing. As you can see, page 14 shows the correct number in the top split but zero on the bottom. I've also seen behavior where the bottom split mirrors the top split's page number, regardless of what page the bottom split is showing. I've sent some documents to Ma...

Re: Page numbers and Screen Splits
Hmm. I didn't notice this until recently, so perhaps it's a new bug. I'm running 3.2.1 on Mojave if that helps.

Page numbers and Screen Splits
So I've noticed something odd, at least with my setup. I frequently have seen that page numbers in my footers read 0 when it's clearly more than page 0. I looked closer. Turns out, what I'm seeing is that if I have a screen split, only one of my screens shows the page numbers correctly. all other sc...

Re: MS Word putting blank lines between table rows
While this has nothing to do with the problem paleye is having with tables, if (while logged in to the forum) you click on your username in a post, it will take you to your profile page. On the right there is a listing of user statistics, and if you click on the "search user posts" link that is disp...

Re: Missing Footnote divider line?
So after some investigation, this problem may only show up when you are in dark mode. Good hunting Martin! Therefore, until this bug is fixed, if you have footnotes you should switch to light mode before printing/exporting to PDF.

Re: Missing Footnote divider line?
I sent some documents to you Martin. I figure there is something wrong with my setup somewhere, I can't imagine that if this were a general bug it would have only affected me or gotten through your beta or other testing. I hope your wizards can figure something out! I honestly don't think a corrupte...

Missing Footnote divider line?
So this is a bit odd. I'm using Nisus 3.2, on the latest Mojave. My footnote divider line is missing when I save it as a PDF. It shows up on the screen, but when I save as, or export to PDF, or save as a PDF from the print screen, the footnote divider line is just gone. I went and redownloaded Nisus...

Styles and Imported full size PDFs
Now that Nisus Writer 3.2 allows multi-page PDF imports automatically, which is something I do a lot of, I thought I'd share a tip or two. I primarily use this feature to import into my Nisus document a PDF of two in an appendix--the original, as it were, that I am discussing in the main part of my ...

Yes, Dark mode looks fantastic now. Thank you very much! I appreciate the theming support, I imagine it was a fairly extensive change to create theming files and such, but it looks great!

Many Thanks for 3.2!
Nisus, I would like to say thank you for this new update! Dark mode looks great; I am greatly appreciating the new PDF file import option (you cannot believe how welcome that one is!) and many more!--in fact, that has made a huge different in my workflow for the better already, even though the relea...
