At least we can agree that an update of the icons is needed?!

Interface Update

Mariner has updated their icons. Although it looks a bit too colorful for my eyes it is a nice gesture of spit and polish. I would love to see NW(P/E) to get a set of updated icons as well. Some of them really are too pale. Some stronger colors would be great… Some of them haven't changed since Okit...

It's fixed now. Just reload NWP. So, are we girl excluded again?    No, both forms are used now. :-) I had my own personal solution which I propose to everyone familliar with and sensitive for the problem. I call it the originator principle: If the speaking/writing person is...

Yes, of course. "Lizenznehmer" gives you no information of the real gender of the mentioned person, since the grammatical gender has nothing to do with the biological one. I wouldn't say it has "nothing to do with" it. It is rather an expression of a patriarchical evolution of l...

Okay then, here's another rather simple question: Can NWX use Abiword's plugins easily, i.e. does it support its plugin architecture or is it a hard job? If it's not so hard, it would be a rather "political" decision. Once again: I would love to see ODT-support (through the very good AbiSo...

Have you taken a look at OpenThesaurus?

As I see it, it's free (used by OpenOffice) and seems to support some languages, including German.

I know it's probably not that good, but at least it's something. :-/

If possible I would love to see ODT-Support for NWX coming up through the Abiword ODT-Plugin. As I see it, NWX would be the only real native Mac OS X app that supports it. (Yes, I know about NeoOffice)

I guess many would at least give NWX a try and then fall in love with its beauty and power. :-)

Re: 3.0 Feature Request List

What about better graphics manipulation, i.e. adapting the text flow around images Yes, that would be nice. Another features for 3: Bookmarking FullScreenMode Full screen mode would be a nice, but no necessary addition. If you plan to do that, look at Ulysses. They have a real wonderful fullscreen ...

Re: 3.0 Feature Request List

Editable styles of footnote/endnote reference numbers Yes, this would be great. In addition it would be nice to be able to adapt the spacing of the seperator line between the text and the footnotes. A re-imagining of the document manager window, and of document management in general. Perhaps includ...

Detailed comparison of different word processors (in German)

Here: http://apfelwiki.de/wiki/Tests/WordAlternativenTest you can find a detailed comparison between some different word processors for the mac. Our word processor of choice, NWX, comes in on the fourth place behind Mellel (1st), NeoOffice (2nd) and Pages (3rd). NWX wins in the following categories:...

I got it. It works if I keep OmniGraffle open. When I double click on the pasted graphic when OG is open, everything works fine. Thanks.

Nevertheless it doesn't open OmniGraffle when it is closed. Should this be possible?
