Regular Expressions with text styles in a macro
Hi In Nisus Classic I used to write macros by using the Find and Replace comand. I prepared the Regular Expression in the Find and Replace mask and gave them, if needed, the right styles (like size, font, bold, italic, standard, etc.). After that I copied it into the macro Now, I tried to do it the ...

find/replace doesn't take care of the font style
Hi 've a problem with find/replace. If I'm looking for an expression in italics font style, expressions in italics+superior are marked as well. Or in case I'm looking for lower case letters [[lower]] the upper case letters [[upper]] appear as well. It is strange. In Nisus Classic I've never had such...

Re: contract 5.6.7.8 to 5-8
Hi The macro preforms very well but it does a tiny little too much. In case of only two successive values, e.g. 1.2, the macro replaces the separator as well by the joiner. With your example # 125, 44, 12, 35, 521, 9, 41, 124, 334, 42, 78, 5, 123, 335, 23, 1, 15, 31, 81, 4, 14, 43, 333, 3 # into # 1...

contract 5.6.7.8 to 5-8
Hi I’d like to contract 5.6.7.10.11.12.20 to an expression like 5-7.10-12.20. The separators are dots (or commas if better). Non continuous numbers are separated by dots and these expressions must not be shortened. As well no contraction if the higher value is the following number of the lower value...

Re: 3 dimentional array how can I use it?
Hi Martin hi Kino unfortunately, the execution of your macro cannot be aborted by pressing command + . and I don't know why. For my own makros I’d like to save the modified document as a new version automatically by the macro. But I can’t come through with "save as, filenamef", it doesn’t ...

Re: 3 dimentional array how can I use it?
Hi Your macro "fill in the text with all styles" works well. It crashes at line 49 and 50 which are the last lines of the macro. If redundant returns are deleted which are at the end of the lines, the crash happens only at line 49. But after confirming by pressing the continue button, the ...

Re: 3 dimentional array how can I use it?
Thanks Kino for your help. Your perl macro does it's work very fast. Thanks Martin for your macro. It fills in the text with all styles. To see the filled in text at the screen, while the macro is still working, is very impressive. Is this feature (update of the screen), perhaps absorbing too much p...

Re: 3 dimentional array how can I use it?
Hi Kino, The pattern of your example text is exactly the same as in my text. I tried your macro and it works with small files (part of 'Referenztext' document (1MB) and a tiny little of the 'Referenzlist' document (16kB)). The text was successfully filled in. With a part of the 'Referenztext' docume...

Re: 3 dimentional array how can I use it?
Hi Kino, Thank you for quickly answering my questions. I tried it several times but the macro isn’t working as I’m expecting it. Firstly, I started the ‘Referenztext’ document containing the references as you expected example: 02.357.057text Secondly, I started the ‘Referenzlist’ document in which I...

3 dimentional array how can I use it?
I have a text which is organized according the following pattern. - register-number [group.subgroup.member] e.g. 03.052.013 - text All register-numbers with their corresponding texts are in one text document. It looks like that: [register-number][text] or more specific [group][subgroup][number][text...

Re: Variable from clipboard to perl
Hi Kino
Thank you very much for solving my problem.
I guess that your macro is written in perl, isn't it?
Where can I learn more about the macro language?
