Do either of you know how this happened in the first place, so I don't end up doing it again?

I opened Nisus to do some work and discovered that the text in the Find Box is now about 8-point. This is too tiny to work with comfortably (for my eyes). If I increase the size of the text in the Find Box, suddenly Nisus can no longer find the word in my text. What did I change and how do I change ...
