Re: New Office 2011: What You'd like in Nisus
Thank you for the tip. Yes I use that feature. As I said: works great for long documents. And I use it when navigating in a multi-page text. Not quite outlining, but sort of.

Yes, working with the Navigator does the trick for longer documents - more like navigating in a Browser. The downside is that I cannot see distant entries at the same time, because there is no way of collapsing the separate levels.

Re: New Office 2011: What You'd like in Nisus
An easy-to-use out-of-the-box outlining mode I second that. I am using OmniOutliner, but although it has a lot of nice touches, it definitely does not translate into some sort of heavy duty word processing. Wods outline mode, on the other hand, is still cumbersome. A very nice touch would be the OP...

Re: Remove Keywords
Thanks Martin for the macro. I used it to make it work the other way round (inserting a keyword). Now the doc manager finds the required docs via smart filter. I replaced the empty ' ' with '[keyword]' -- and there you are. Thanks a lot!

Header rows in tables
Hi, I just gave the new NWP 1.3 a shot and I am versy impressed. Especially the Document Manager finally stands up to its name. Great, and combined with the style manager very powerful for reformatting text. But: there seems to be no option for creating header rows in tables. The ones that always st...

NWP Splash Screen
Hi!
A few days ago NWP started a strange behaviour I never noticed before: when starting up, it displayed "Startup complete" in the startup screen. I had to close the window manually. Is there a setting that tells the startup screen to close automatically after loading?

not stable nough?
Just for balancing out: I think the main question is, what you use NW for. I use it for text editing, sometimes preparing drafts, but no layout work and only occasional footnotes. For a program at that price I am very happy with it. I wouldn't take my old car to the races, so I don't use NWX for lon...

Using NW as XML editor
I know it may seem strange to most people, but I am desparately missing FrameMaker for Mac since Adobe dropped it in April 2004. And since there is no program I know of that handles structured contents as well as FM did, I have to stick to old FM. But Adobe seems to be upgrading the old chap -- yet ...
