Re: Strange behavior of fonts: defaulting to Black
Thank you , Elbrecht, this has solved the problem. The source of the problem is still a mystery, but with solution it doesn't matter.

Strange behavior of fonts: defaulting to Black
Hello friends, By default we use the font Iowan Old Style , set to Roman . In the past couple of weeks we have seen strange behavior where we change to italic, then change our minds, and un-italicise the phrase. When this is done, the font changes to the " black " font weight. There are al...

Re: Annoying behavior in new version of Nisus Pro
Hello Martin, thanks for the prompt reply.
If this will be addressed soon, we will wait for the update. We will pass on the beta, as we are not good at dealing with potential bugs.
Thanks for being aware of this issue.

Re: Annoying behavior in new version of Nisus Pro
There is a behavior in the new version of Nisus Pro which is systemic rather than in just one document, which is as follows: When a document is opened, some kind of counting occurs (you can see the progress in the bottom bar of the document) which prevents scrolling down the document until the coun...

Re: Annoying behavior in new version of Nisus Pro
We just noticed that the underlining of prepositions is also occuring in Mac Mail, so this may not be a Nisus issue. Thanks

Re: new document opening when others opened
Hi Martin, I reset the preferences on application activation to "do nothing." Now things behave as expected. When I open the program, only the program opens. When I open a document when the program is running, only that document opens. When I open the program by opening a document, only th...

new document opening when others opened
Hello friends,
After upgrading to 3.0, when opening an old document, a new, blank document opens also. How can I keep the blank one from opening when it is not wished for?
Thanks.

Re: Quirky behavior in 3.0
Hello Martin, thanks for your helpful reply. I have sent you via "send feedback" a sample large document so you can examine the behavior. Of course, this time when we experimented with the document, the pallete did not flicker. But this is an intermitent issue. As noted in the feedback we ...

Re: Quirky behavior in 3.0
Thank you, Waltmn, but the problem is not in the loading, but in the editing. Any editing causes this behavior. This can be frustrating, causing unusual delays when writing.

Quirky behavior in 3.0
Hello friends, We have upgraded to 3.0 and things look great, but... There are a few issues which you should be aware of. I have a book document with 68,000 words, and when working on the file it goes through some process (auto-save, perhaps?) which causes it to slow down and sometimes stop. At the ...

Re: images disappearing
Thank you Martin and Vanceone.
Alas, I will now have to try to find the original graphics files (which were probably tifs) somewhere on my computer. When your drives are multi terabyte drives, this becomes fun (not)!

Re: images disappearing
These posts are useful, but what I would like would be if the nisus people could actually look at the file, and determine difinitively what the problem actually is, not just what it might be. The file, being image intensive even without the images showing, is too large for the normal forum upload. I...
