Re: The NWP Ligature ... which expands on keying the Space bar.

The following version allows for the possibility that there is no ellipsis. There is a single space after "(" and no space before t "(" or after ")"

Re: Using NWP, can I link to a file from another app

To make a link to a file via Insert Hyperlink, drag the file from the finder into the "Link Destination" box, and prepend "file:/" to the text that is created. Clicking the link will reveal the file in the finder.

Use the Hyperlink menu item, located at the bottom of the Insert Menu.

Re: Header/Footer Problem in Landscape Section.

Thanks, Hamid. I appreciate your taking the time to replicate this. It will save Nisus (and me) time if it's not some quirk of my system. However your fix doesn't work for this document (attached). Even weirder--the upside down backwards header shows up in Print Preview and the printed version, but ...

Re: Header/Footer Problem in Landscape Section.

Nope--I can't consistently get the header and page orientation to both work.. I'll send the document in.

Re: Header/Footer Problem in Landscape Section.

The solution to both problems turns out to be easy: put the cursor in the _header_ at the start of each section before doing page setup.

Re: Header/Footer Problem in Landscape Section.

Thanks for the quick response, Hamid. The only way I've been able to get portrait in page 1 and landscape in page 2 is to select the _entire_ section, before page set up, and this leads to the problem I reported initially. If I do page set up with the cursor in each section, as you suggest, the head...

Header/Footer Problem in Landscape Section.

I set up a two page two-section document. The first page (section) has portrait orientation, the second landscape. I set a header in the first section, The text in both sections prints as expedted, but in the second section, the header is upside down and reversed. If both sections are set to print i...

Re: application form

The agency that issued the form is using Custom Properties to process it. I don't know much about these, but it's likely that only a completed version of the original doc file will be acceptable.

Re: LaTex Conversion

I cannot speak for Nisus, of course, but I think that your request is unlikely to receive any priority. A workflow that writes equations in an external editor and "inserts" them into Nisus does not appear to be workable. The idea that a document can be divided into equations and text is wrong. Many ...

I have a setup similar to yours: NWP 1.0.2 PB G4, 2GHz memory, 10.5.1. Font preview turned on. I cannot reproduce your CPU usage problem here or in 10.4.11. When I try, NWP's CPU usage doesn't arise more than a few percentage points, if any, above the current usage. You might send the console log to...
