My mistake-I missed the 'spelling' part of your original post. You can invoke the spelling window and most spell-check commands with menu keyboard shortcuts. In the window, tabs and arrow keys will navigate the left-side panes. To create a macro that will set and remove a bookmark, see: http://www.n...

In Word 2004 on my system, the contextual menu invoked by alt-F7 shows entries related to spell checking. Otherwise, Word invokes contextual menus by CTRL-clicking.

Thank you, Martin. I did not realize that indents could be set separately within each table cell. Fixing the problem is easy: 1) Select the whole table, either by dragging or by clicking in a blank cell and pressing cmd-a. 2) Drag the right-margin icon on the ruler to the right. If the icon is alrea...

You are very welcome. I just sent Support an example in which I created a table in NWP, pasted it into TextEdit, where it displays well, then pasted it back into NWP. The pasted version suffers from the 'right margin' problem. The same thing happens when the rtf file containing the table is dragged ...

I've had this happen occasionally with NWP and also with Word. It appears as if an unchangeable 'right margin' is set in the table cells. Taking the tabbed text to BBEdit and zapping gremlins didn't help. TextEdit seems somewhat immune, so try that. I didn't save an example, so please send your prob...

Every once in a while, Finder decides to open one of my '.doc' files in Notetaker. Yet the icon is still pure Word. Go figure.

There's one thing to watch out for: there's currently no way to get the options that are set in the Find window. This means the options have to be hardcoded into the macro. Martin, the Nisus Macro Reference States (p 11) that the option * in 'Find and Replace' will "Use options currently set in Fin...

I think that Geoff's problem would be solved if, after deleting a row or column, NWP did not select the next one. I don't see a good reason for the automatic selection, since to delete a row, it is only necessary to have the cursor in one of its cells.

As a start, run Disk Utility to check/fix your drive. (Disk Warrior is even better and worth the price.) Repair permissions. Try deleting the Nisus plist file in your User preferences folder. You might also redownload NWX from Nisus, as one or two people in the past have reported corrupt installatio...

I also strongly support a PDF manual with screen format and 'real' page numbers. Please also include bookmarks and links from the TOC and index as in the BBEdit User Manual, for example.

I agree that three years of free upgrades to NWX 2 was a generous policy. Actually, I was surprised that Nisus continued NWX at all. I think that a reasonable business strategy for a small company would have been to offer only the $49.00 upgrade to the much more powerful NWP. Supporting one program ...

Not sure about powerfind, but in powerfind pro it is simple:

(o|a)r

the "|" is the "or" and the () group, so that the translation is "o" or "a" followed by "r"

cmd-click and hold--you should see the entire 'path'--the original folder, and all the enclosing folders. the original guide is within the nisus application itself--actually a package, a special kind of folder. you open it up by control-clicking on the app and selecting the 'show package contents' i...
