So Martin - how comes? I suppose they did write it using nisus ... Help was written in Nisus Writer Pro from which the pdf was created. You can verify this and other metadata in, for example: Preview's 'Inspector' (Command-i), Adobe Reader's 'Properties' or Adobe Acrobat Professional's 'Document Pro...

did you check quotes "singularily, one by one" concerning language applied?

Otherwise feedback to Martin and attach the strange file - maybe?

Best thing to do, would be to Save As RTF in the very first place, i.e. in Word. All in-between-converting is auxilliary only. So get the original file, but saved as RTF - for best performance with Nisus Writer. For strict one-to-one compatibility you have to stick to Word - that's what DOC is all a...

Well -

the point is to Open "file.doc" to Save As "file.rtf" - i.e. to change from DOC to RTF. Or still better stick to RTF instead of DOC as standard - and/or let others pass you Saved As RTFs only for best performance with Nisus Writer.

Yeah -

Martin is right - you even seem to be able to activate the Character Palette for Input Menu by just going Edit/Special Characters! Didn't know that shortcut!

Well -

but it's still selectable in "System Preferences/International/Input Menu" - I guess, or not? Scroll down maybe? As I wrote you need to select, i.e activate it, to have it available via Input Menu for all applications then. It won't show on default.

Hi -

as this is to "Show Character Palette" - you need to have this component activated: "System Preferences/International/Input Menu" and don't forget to activate "Show input menu in menu bar" there as well.

Hope this helps

Hi Hamid - that's the Apple way I am used to - but it still would be cool to get the Nisus Writers to display all fonts used in an opened RTF document top most. This way one could easily controll all fonts used - even blanks or whites or whatever deadheads. And NW could display missing fonts of fore...

Well -

you could de-activate all the fonts never used in Apple's Font Book - i.e. the fonts beginning with "A, B, C" at least: to shorten the scrolling way to Courier each time you re-start Nisus Writer. Or just don't quit NWP/E - if working on an Intel machine with lots of RAM installed.

Well said: "The message is clear -- if you are still on a G4 or G5, don't go to Leopard. Stay with Tiger."
