Re: Stacking Windows Macro

Thanks Kino for adding < not > to my previous message. Am I hearing you correctly, that NW offers these window coordinates, and NWP does not? That is curious indeed, as you would think you were getting a more advanced product with the "Pro" version.

Re: Stacking Windows Macro

If that's all you want then why not simply use View>Full Screen mode? Then the front window is the only thing on the entire screen. Good observation. I would do as you suggested if there were not the limitations (bugs?) that currently exist in the Full Screen Mode: See this thread: http://nisus.com...

Re: Context Extraction Marco?

This last release completely resolved the highlighting issues. I too, like you, don't like it when there are assumed limitations to a macro. This will now be a very useful tool for me in my research.

Thanks!

Re: Context Extraction Marco?

Thanks for this addition. It worked just fine. I will compare this your macro to the one I have modified and figure out what I did differently, then use your adjustments to make my variation work.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks for all of your assistance.

Hope you can get some sleep ...

Re: Context Extraction Marco?

Thanks for this addition to your macro. Unfortunately, when I added the additional code to the macro it ended up not just selecting all of the text in the file, but coloring the entire page - even when nothing was selected. Perhaps I added the code in the wrong place. Here is a sample of where I pla...

Re: Stacking Windows Macro

Thanks Kino. I'll check this out.

It's intriguing that, for as extensive as it is for writing macros, NWP does have a way to handle the coordinates of open windows.

Curious ...

Re: Context Extraction Marco?

Thanks Kino, this is quite a extensive macro. Reading it gives one an appreciation for how much you put into these projects. Since I will be using it extensively to copy text from the resulting file, I was able to remove the << >> marks around each found word. This got me wondering if the original f...

Re: Context Extraction Marco?

Hello Kino Thanks again for your help with the Context Extraction macro. I know that I said this was "exactly what I was looking for". And that beggars shouldn't be choosers. But I'm wondering if it would be too much to ask how to modify this marco to list the complete sentence each occurrence of th...

Re: Stacking Windows Macro

That's unfortunate. I suppose that means that the Arrange in Front command - implemented by pressing Option while selecting Window > Bring All to the Front - is system-wide, and not unique to NWP. Is there a way to hide a window that, perhaps, could be exploited through a macro to hide more than one...

Re: Top of Page Macro?

That's what I was afraid of. But I can use the one you sent me, as it get closer than anything that I could come up with.

Thanks

Re: Stacking Windows Macro

That's a nice feature, and close to what I had in mind. But what I actually would like is for all of the windows to stack 'exactly' on top of one another. Guess I'm just a neat freak, but it helps me concentrated on the current document. I have set my Desktop background to the same color of the back...

Re: Top of Page Macro?

Thanks Kino for a quick reply to this. It kinda does what I had in mind, but it doesn't always go to the top of the page - at least as the page appears on the screen. Perhaps this is asking too much of NWP. What I was hoping for was to have the cursor go to the top of screen from any place in the op...

Context Extraction Marco?

I'm new to Nisus Pro, and I have a marco idea that would be most helpful for writers. But I'm sure, at this point, it is beyond my ability - although it is somewhat similar to some others I've seen. I would like to have NWP do a Context Extraction: Search for a word and have all of the relevant pass...

Stacking Windows Macro

New to Nisus.

How would I go about writing a macro to automatically stack all of the open windows exactly on top of each other?

Thanks
