Re: Automatic numbers lost in sort Table

One additional suggestion. One could create a column to the left of the numbers and fill it with the word "Scene"; then remove the right table cell boarder of that column by setting the Edge Option in the Table Cell Borders palette to None; and finally merge the two first cells of the first row. To ...

Can this macro be edited to produce numbers in a way that will sort in sequence in the table?
Yes, just remove "Scene " & from the macro.
Turn line numbers on, and you'll find the string on line 16 and 23.

Re: Automatic numbers lost in sort Table

Hi, I'm attempting to put a column of automatic numbers in a Table Let's begin by clarifying the terminology. Automatic Numbers in NWP are here: Insert –> Automatic Number. In your case, however, it seems you are not using automatic numbers, but rather a list style to generate numbers. That's why (t...

Re: Why do you choose Nisus?

Hi Amontillado, I see you have just joined the Blank Page forum. Thank you for sharing with us your experience. I assume you are talking about Nisus Writer Pro and not Nisus Writer Express. I like Nisus. […] it's the best fit I've found so far. Allow me to make a few remarks here. Best fit for what?...

Re: Pages inside a Document

OK, I got it. Less complicated than I thought. You obviously just dragged a PDF into the foreground of SP, not into the background as I first assumed, and what you got is an image of the *first* page, which may be OK if the PDF has only one page. If you have a PDF with many pages, it seems you need ...

Re: Pages inside a Document

Sorry if I misunderstood your idea. This is about showing the areas on several documents that I wish to contest. Therefore I have to layout a page using the page I am referencing, show boxes and errors and numbers to reference what I am pointing out, then then provide a follow on narrative using the...

Re: Pages inside a Document

Hello, Trying to ram multiple PDFs into one Nisus document isn't a good idea. If it were possible, it would just make your Nisus document unnecessarily bloated. No need to duplicate the PDFs after you have already created direct links to them in Nisus. I would create a link to the document (PDF) in ...

Re: Changing the default formatting of Comments

Hello Martin, Thank you very much for correcting me. I changed the way my comments look like to Times 7 a long time ago, but obviously I had forgotten how I did it. Looking at my "Comment" style now, I see it looks exactly as I want it to be; so I must have changed that style back then. Thank...

Re: Print Button

there's one aesthetic inconsistency that I'd love to see fixed Hi Stoob, Would you like to have the icon look like this one? 1) Print.png 1. You can find this icon if you right-click on the Nisus application icon and open the folder Resources. Look for an icon named "touchBar-print@2x.png". (This l...

Re: Unusual behavior of footnotes in a section

Thank you Hamid. Using the search term "limitation" I just found an almost identical thread from 2015. Then Martin's answer was: I'm glad you ferreted out the culprit Timotheus, but unfortunately there is no way to prevent the unwanted behavior. This interaction is an unfortunate limitation in our p...

Unusual behavior of footnotes in a section

If I write some text and then execute the menu command Insert –> Section Break –> Same Page, a new section begins at the insertion point on the current page and the text of the new section will appear on the same page as expected. However, as soon as I add a footnote in a section, a blank space will...
