Re: Center and Right Alignment Buttons

This mixup with the alignment buttons was actually caused by some changes macOS made for Apple Silicon. The bug only occurred on new Macs with the M1 chip . We fixed this issue in the most recent versions of Nisus Writer. Please update to Nisus Writer Pro version 3.2.1 (or Express 4.2.1) if you have...

Re: Underline to Bold

Thanks to Philip for posting a quick and easy solution. The little "font tag" can be a good solution for simple formatting searches. I'll also link to our FAQ on how to search for formatting , in case this comes up for any other users, or more complex situations arise. Nisus Writer has a lot of diff...

Re: Shading Fail in Big Sur

Thanks, Philip. What you say is true… sometimes. This video demonstrates my issue. https://www.dropbox.com/s/b1re6sgz8nm9yzw/nwp-cellshading.mp4?dl=0 Thank you for that video Al, which makes the problem very clear. This does look like a Nisus bug. I'll make a note that we need to get it fixed– than...

Re: how move items up / down a list?

Hi again, I don't want to be picky, but is it possible to adapt this script so it does not involve copy/paste when moving paragraphs up and down? Adding the whole paragraph to the clipboard is not ideal. Thanks. That's no problem. Here are amended versions of Philip's macros that do not use copy/pa...

Re: How to immediately drop a selection

This is my first post in this forum. Nice to meet you! :D ... 1. I select text. (A little square is displayed at the end of the selection.) Welcome to the forums! :) When you say a "little square" does it look like this: context-tri.png That indicator is sometimes shown by macOS to let you apply va...

Re: Can't Get Started

Hello Nimrod! Thanks for trying InfoClick. Let's see what we can do to answer your questions and help you more forward. It's true that InfoClick can detect and search emails that are no longer shown in Apple Mail. This is a nice feature for a variety of reasons. First, sometimes Apple Mail goes a bi...

Re: Table of contents

How are you formatting your subparagraphs? That is, are you using named paragraph styles like "Heading 2" for these subparagraphs? If so, you will need to adjust your style sheet. You will want to ensure that those paragraph styles are enforcing "Include in TOC" formatting. Here's one way to do that...

Re: Big Sur 11.3, Spotlight and RTF files

Thank you for the update Brad! It's nice to know that Apple finally fixed this regression in Spotlight indexing. And thanks for the tip on how to force Spotlight to reindex documents and files. It looks like Apple goes over the same steps in this support page on how to rebuild your Spotlight search ...

Re: Does Nisus provide keyboards?

We do not provide any custom keyboards. Nisus Writer supports all keyboards that are available system-wide on macOS. That includes all the default keyboards provided by Apple (eg: Hebrew - QWERTY) and also custom keyboard layouts. You can create your own keyboards using tools like Ukelele or search ...

Re: Creating a List of all Capitalsied words

I would have used PowerFind for the screen-shot, but it seems that PowerFind won't let you insert a repeat bubble with (3 or more). It creates the bubble, but it just beeps and won't insert it in the Find dialog. :( This looks like a bug, if you leave the upper bound blank. If you enter a real numb...

Re: Creating a List of all Capitalsied words

Here's a macro that should do what you like: # This macro finds all words that are in all caps in the frontmost document $minLength = 2 If ! Find All @string<\p{Upper}{$minLength,}>, 'E-i' Prompt "No matches found.", "Did not find any words in all caps with at least $minLength characters." Exit End ...

Re: Unable to Update Nisus Thesaurus v1.2 to v1.2.2

Unless you have a new Mac with Apple Silicon there's no real difference between Nisus Thesaurus version 1.2 and 1.2.2. However, if you really want the latest version you can download it manually here:

Re: Style definition with macro

About "macros behind text": In the Classic version I remember vaguely being able to right-click (?) on a word and a small window would then be opened where I could place the macro. It was possible to tell the macro to run only if I pressed the Shift key (option key, command key, and perhaps other m...
