you started a Soft hyphenation thread some time ago and I got it working somehow for me - but no comments from nobody so far! Is there anything wrong with me? I don't need/practice Soft hyphenation, so maybe the fault is with me?

Not sure I understand your problem correctly - but if in Simplified Chinese, do you have a Secondary Font selected in Nisus/Preferences/Languages/Chinese (Simplified)? There seems to be selected none by default - over against in case of Chinese (Traditional)... Chinese fonts include German Umlaute f...

over wonder - soft hyphenation [SHY] even seems to work in Nisus Writer Pro. Enter U+00AD & Convert and Allow Hyphenation - then play with the Lucida Grande font size!!!
