I'm rather fond of the draft view as it exists right now. I like the fact that I'm not thinking about formatting or margins - just concentrating on text. The only change I would want would be to go one step further and have a full-screen mode, as some other Cocoa applications have. In page view, if ...

This allows you select the kind of tabs that you want to place on the ruler.

I find that having text scroll up only one line at a time keeps me focused far too much on the bottom of the screen, which doesn't (to me) make a great deal of ergonomic sense.

I think the way the program handles this right now makes a great deal more sense.

As far as I know there isn't, which is perhaps the one change in 2.5 that I consider a step backward. I really did prefer to name and order my own tooldrawers, but a previous discussion on this board seemed to indicate that those of us who want this ability are in something of a minority.

Thanks for letting us know about this. The new features in 2.5 are great to have, and the stability/quality improvements are terrific.

It's also great how many features have been added as a result of listening to user requests. Thanks especially for that!

No more custom palettes?

I've been trying in a number of ways to create custom tool drawers in the 4th alpha, but nothing seems to work. It's kind of a drag that I can no longer create any number of tool drawers, but I decided to give the new alpha a whirl to see how well I could work with just four of them. Every time I at...

For what it's worth, I've seen a similar problem in Pages, so I don't think this is a Nisus-only issue.

There are two problems with the button icons: 1. There are only four of them. 2. The icons presuppose tool palettes' functions. For those of us who have more than four palettes/drawers, and have them organized beyond how the alpha assumes we will, this becomes a limitation. I know I've said this bef...

Hi everyone: Thanks for your feedback on the palette groups. If we added another icon button that would pop-up custom palette group names, would that do the trick for those of you who miss creating your own palette groups? -Charles I really like things the way they are, since the current icons for ...

Re: Already my favorite

The indentation bug is gone. That alone almost sells me on trying the beta, but first a couple questions. Can I use 2.1.1 and 2.5 simultaneously? And d 2.5 files open in 2.1.1 with styles intact? You should be able to use 2.5 and 2.1.1 together. Most preferences that change (like the toolbars and p...

One thing that I miss in the alpha is the ability to create custom tool drawers. I really do rely on the ability to do this - and to have more than four of them. Does anyone else feel the same way? I did, but I did create my own. I just added the ones I want to those which are found when you press ...

You can do this by setting up the level of magnification you'd like in your Nisus New file and then save the changes.

The two most important improvements for me when working with long documents are as follows: 1. Typing speed. 2. Having NWE make fewer demands on the CPU when printing. Since I use an ink-jet printer without its own processor, everything on my Mac drastically slows down when printing any document cre...

Actually, while some of the commands can be re-assigned, not all of them can, such as shift-command-B, which is reserved for showing/hiding the toolbar.

It would be great if all commands could be user-defined.
