1. Go to the Style Sheet.
2. Select the list style you want to use.
3. Make sure the "Continue throughout document" box is checked.

I think that should help.

I've tried this on a test doc &, actually, this seems to work. I find, tho, that I have to insert the section break on the page *before* I want the change in numeration to appear. Does this seem correct to you? That is how it works. Twice I started to add something to about that to my last post...

Are you inserting pages manually? Is that why the page number needs to increase from 123 to 125? Otherwise it seems to me that the automatic page numbers should adjust automatically. Assuming that that is the case and also assuming that text does not flow from the previous page to what will be page ...

I assume that you have placed an automatic page number (Insert > Automatic Number > Page Number) in the document's header or footer. Since those should automatically update, I take it that you have broken the document into chapters or other sub-documents (that is, separate files but conceptually a s...

I don't experience this problem. My first thoughts are that you might have a font problem or that there might be a QuickFix setting that needs to be fixed. Does this happen no matter what font you are using?

Hi, Candace. I'm sorry you're having such trouble getting used to Nisus Writer Express. That tab symbol at the right end of the menu bar simply lets you choose the type of tab. Whatever type is displayed there is the type that will be added to the menu bar if you simply click in it (above the thin, ...

I'm relatively new to Macs, so I don't know how this might once have worked (say, under OS 9 or in Nisus Writer Classic), but if I change language in Nisus Writer Express (via the tag in the status bar or via the Format > Language menu) to Hebrew, I can type sin with option-w (or option-shift-W) and...

I think Martin and the rest will see it here. If you want to make doubly sure, click the Help menu in Nisus Writer Express and then Send Feedback.

I earlier requested a way to print a specified logical page . Martin proposed something like what you want is on the to-do list. Obviously it hasn't been implemented for the current version, but it might be on the to-do list. I'm sorry this doesn't help you in the immediate. Shall we repeat the requ...

Re: Format Painter

And, of course, format painter - a great feature from Word that lets you easily copy all formatting attributes from one paragraph to a series of other paragraphs. That would be great too. The new version, 2.7, has something like this, but it works at the character level, not the paragraph level. --...

I'm not sure I follow the steps you are taking. Are you somehow entering 10 as the "other" size in the Menu Keys tab of the preferences dialog? If so, I don't know how. If I replicate your set-up without specifying 10 as the "other" size, I get a Set Font Size dialog when I press...

Well said! I have never interacted with a more consistently responsive software developer than Nisus. Here's an idea that might help. I don't really know. 1. Select one of these weird characters. 2. Open the system's Character Palette (Edit > Special Characters or else the language flag in the menu bar > Show Character Palette). 3. In the lower left corner of the Character Palette (at least in Tiger...

It should appear in the pop-up list as "English (British)." If it doesn't, open Preferences, click the languages tab, click the More button, and put a check next to "English (British)."

To change this behavior, go to the General tab of the Preferences dialog and uncheck the "Keep new documents in the document manager without asking me" option.
