Re: Nisus crashes under Mavericks

Heh, heh -- now some people on the Sandvox forum are talking about the "Finder" (I use the term only for want of something ,more appropriate) in OS X.9 won’t show them folders they could expect to ordinarily access unless they go through some sort of silly routine involving the option key....

Re: Nisus crashes under Mavericks

Two or three users have reported Mavericks crashing problems on the Sandvox forum too (he reported smugly, sitting as he is, somewhat fat and very happy on X.6.8!!!). Don't sit too smugly, as OSX 10.6's days are certainly numbered. Especially since Mavericks' price of $FREE should see it catapulted...

Re: How to find accidental repeated words

Many thanks, Martin. I've loaded it and am ready to go! I was thinking mainly of some instances of "that that" -- a rather clumsy but sometimes useful construction. Actually, I was thinking there must be others, but then the more I thought about it, the more I came to think "that that...

Re: Feature request: File > Open Recent shortcut option

Wasn't there a feature like that in the old NW? I think document manager overtook it in part.

Paste into Style

Sandvox, the Mac website builder, has a paste function which I like a lot -- "Paste and Match Style". Using this, Sandvox applies the current text style on the fly o whatever you paste. Be nice in NWP. Cheers, Geoff Geoffrey Heard General Manager Bushtrack Enterprises Ltd http://www.bushtr...

Re: Does Nisus undersell itself when numbering upgrades?

And then the bug fixes got bug fixed in 2.0.6. Fine from a technical POV then, but I would suggest that Nisus needs to redirect what it does with marketing in mind. The market wants "progress" (whatever) so after such a long period, Nisus should be producing at least a .1 or .2 upgrade. Do...

Re: Does Nisus undersell itself when numbering upgrades?

So how did you see NWP 2.0.5, Cris. In your view, was that under-rated as I suggested?

Does Nisus undersell itself when numbering upgrades?

We've been talking about Nisus's update/upgrade intervals and the question of numbering them, e.g. we waited for a year to go from 2.0.4 to 2.0.5 and then a few weeks later, got 2.0.6 which seems to me to be mainly a tweak and a bug fix of 2.0.5 which was much more substantial. Compare that with Pho...

Re: Poll now workin: Do you support more frequent NWP bug-fi

On reflection, the fact that we can wait, what, a year?, for a 0.0.1 update, then another can appear in weeks, tells us something about now Nisus designates their updated/upgrades. I would have called 2.0.5 at least a point update, e.g. 2.1, and possibly more -- maybe some points. 2.0.6 looks like a...
